Senior Technical Recruiter – Data, Machine Learning & Software Engineering

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Technical Recruiter with deep expertise in hiring across Data Engineering, Machine Learning, AI, and Software Engineering roles. This is a highly technical recruiting position requiring strong domain understanding of modern data stacks, ML systems, and engineering workflows—not just resume matching.

You will act as a strategic partner to engineering leadership, owning end-to-end hiring for complex technical roles and driving talent pipelines in a competitive market.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Sourcing & Talent Identification

Own full-cycle recruiting for Data Engineers, ML Engineers, Data Scientists, MLOps Engineers, and Software Engineers

Write and publish technically accurate job descriptions for advanced data and ML roles

Proactively source senior and niche technical talent using LinkedIn, GitHub, Stack Overflow, Kaggle, professional communities, and networking channels

Evaluate candidate backgrounds across data platforms, ML frameworks, cloud technologies, and software architectures

Technical Screening & Candidate Evaluation

Conduct in-depth technical screening calls to assess hands-on experience, system design understanding, and problem-solving skills

Partner with technical interviewers to align on assessment strategies and hiring standards

Distinguish between academic ML profiles and production-grade engineering experience

Ensure high-quality signal before advancing candidates to technical interview stages

Stakeholder & Hiring Manager Partnership

Collaborate closely with engineering leaders, data architects, ML leads, and product teams to define role requirements and hiring priorities

Translate business and technical needs into clear sourcing strategies

Advise stakeholders on market trends, talent availability, and compensation benchmarks

Pipeline & Market Intelligence

Build and maintain long-term pipelines for critical data and ML skill sets

Track emerging technologies across AI/ML, Big Data, cloud analytics, and data platforms

Monitor competitive hiring trends and candidate expectations in global markets

Recruitment Operations & Reporting

Manage candidate lifecycle within ATS and recruitment tools with strong attention to detail

Maintain accurate documentation on interviews, feedback, and hiring decisions

Produce recruitment metrics and insights on pipeline health, time-to-fill, and quality of hire

Required Qualifications

5–8+ years of experience as a Technical Recruiter, with a strong focus on Data, ML, AI, or Software Engineering roles

Demonstrated ability to recruit senior and specialized technical profiles in fast-paced environments

Solid working knowledge of modern data and ML ecosystems, including:

Data Engineering & Big Data platforms

Machine Learning frameworks and pipelines

Cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Software engineering best practices

Proven experience conducting technical screening conversations with credibility

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Experience using ATS, sourcing platforms, and analytics-driven recruiting tools
