*Note: This position requires presence in our San Francisco or Bellevue office location 4 days per week; Lambda’s designated work from home day is currently Tuesday.

The People Team at Lambda is building the kind of company we all want to work for. We move fast, cut through noise, and care deeply—about clarity, fairness, growth, and getting the details right. From hiring to offboarding (and everything in between), we make sure every Lambda has the support, tools, and structure to thrive. Our scope includes recruiting, rewards, L&D, employee relations, communications, and culture—all the things that shape a great place to work.
We're seeking a strategic, results-driven Senior Technical Recruiter to build world-class teams for our rapidly scaling AI cloud infrastructure startup. As a Senior Recruiter, you'll join our lean, high-impact team and drive hiring across critical cloud engineering roles, distributed systems architects, and AI infrastructure specialists. You'll own the complete recruiting lifecycle while serving as a strategic partner to our leadership team as we scale our cloud platform to serve the next generation of AI applications.
What You’ll Do

  • Lead end-to-end recruiting for our hyper-growth AI cloud infrastructure startup, prioritizing exceptional hiring manager partnerships and candidate experiences that reflect our engineering-first culture

  • Source, screen, and evaluate top-tier talent across cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, DevOps/SRE and infrastructure engineering (high performance computing, networking, storage, orchestration) roles

  • Partner with engineering leadership and founders to develop and execute aggressive hiring strategies including competitive intelligence, talent mapping, and analysis of the cloud infrastructure market

  • Navigate complex technical interviews and guide decision-making processes across our distributed team of interviewers and hiring managers

  • Leverage recruiting analytics and market insights to optimize hiring velocity, quality, and conversion rates in the competitive cloud infrastructure talent market

  • Build and maintain recruiting dashboards and performance metrics that support our rapid platform scaling objectives

  • Drive continuous innovation in our recruiting process, candidate experience, and employer branding to compete for the best cloud infrastructure talent globally

You

  • Have 8+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience, preferably with high-growth startups or competitive tech companies (sourcing, screening, closing top-tier candidates)

  • Prior experience recruiting at a high growth start-up or at an agency servicing similar companies

  • Excel at evaluating candidates for both cultural alignment and deep technical competencies, particularly in cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and infrastructure workload optimization

  • Demonstrate genuine passion for cloud technologies, distributed systems, and AI infrastructure with the ability to quickly understand complex technical requirements and scalability challenges

  • Master advanced sourcing techniques across LinkedIn Recruiter, Linkedin Talent Insights, GitHub, cloud engineering communities, open-source projects, and specialized infrastructure platforms

  • Have extensive experience with modern ATS platforms and recruiting analytics tools to drive data-informed hiring decisions

  • Thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous startup environments where priorities shift rapidly and scrappy execution is essential

Nice to Have

  • Direct experience recruiting for cloud infrastructure startups, platform engineering teams, or Big Tech cloud divisions

  • Deep understanding of the cloud infrastructure ecosystem, open-source communities, and key industry conferences (KubeCon, re:Invent, Google Cloud Next, etc.)

  • Experience with Ashby or similar modern recruiting platforms

  • Track record of closing candidates from top cloud companies (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, etc.)

  • Technical background or strong familiarity with cloud platforms, Kubernetes, distributed systems, and AI infrastructure optimization

  • Experience recruiting in the San Francisco Bay Area's competitive cloud infrastructure talent market
