Role

We are looking for a Senior Technical Recruiter to join our Talent Acquisition Team. This is a hybrid role based in San Jose, CA (on-site Tuesday-Thursday), reporting to the Head of Technical Recruiting. You will be a key driver in identifying, engaging, and hiring top technical talent for Zscaler. You will serve as a strategic partner to our engineering leadership, ensuring we build world-class teams through inclusive and thoughtful execution.

What you’ll do (Role Expectations)

  • Identify, engage, and hire top technical talent for Zscaler
  • Partner closely with hiring managers to create and drive recruiting strategies for world-class engineering teams
  • Collaborate, advise, and support hiring teams from recruitment kickoff meetings through candidate negotiation and close
  • Champion and implement inclusive hiring practices with urgency and thoughtful execution
  • Build and cultivate quality candidate pipelines across a variety of technical searches in a competitive talent environment

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree or a related field or a combination of relevant experience, education, and training
  • 5+ years of in-house recruiting experience within the tech industry
  • Proven hands-on experience with LinkedIn Recruiter, SeekOut, other sourcing tools, and niche job boards
  • Experience partnering with hiring managers and stakeholders to lead and manage complex searches in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Demonstrated ability to generate enthusiasm about opportunities to prospective candidates

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Specialized experience recruiting for AI/ML engineering, data science, Managed Detection and Response, or research roles
  • Demonstrated achievement in inclusive hiring practices and building highly targeted, diverse talent pipelines
  • Background working in both large companies and start-up environments

Zscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.

Base Pay Range
$115,000$165,000 USD
