What You'll Do
Talent Advisor & Strategy
- Serve as a strategic partner to hiring managers and business leaders-shaping role scope, hiring plans, and candidate profiles
- Lead structured intake conversations to define success criteria and align stakeholders upfront
- Provide market intelligence on talent availability, compensation, and competitive landscape to guide decision-making
- Proactively challenge assumptions and influence hiring outcomes as a credible advisor
Full-Cycle Technical Recruiting
- Own end-to-end recruiting for technical roles (software engineering, data, infrastructure, product)
- Build and execute sourcing strategies for hard-to-fill roles, including passive talent engagement
- Screen and assess candidates with a focus on both technical capability and long-term fit
- Drive efficient, high-quality interview processes and facilitate calibrated decision-making
- Lead offer strategy development, negotiation, and closing
Pipeline & Sourcing Excellence
- Build diverse, high-quality pipelines using multi-channel sourcing strategies (direct sourcing, referrals, partnerships, communities)
- Continuously refine sourcing strategies based on performance data and market insights
- Develop talent pipelines ahead of demand for critical skill areas
Candidate Experience & Employer Brand
- Deliver a high-touch, transparent candidate experience that reflects Morningstar's values
- Act as a candidate coach-guiding individuals through the process and advocating for strong talent
- Promote Morningstar as an employer of choice through networks, events, and outreach
Process & Continuous Improvement
- Drive process improvements to increase efficiency, quality, and candidate experience
- Maintain accurate data
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of recruiting experience, with strong technical recruiting expertise
- Proven success hiring for engineering, data, or product roles in a competitive market
- Experience operating as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders
- Strong sourcing capability, including passive candidate engagement
- Deep understanding of technical roles, skillsets, and hiring challenges
- Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple complex searches simultaneously
- Experience using ATS platforms (Workday preferred)
- Data-driven mindset with strong attention to detail and process rigor
