The Role

LettrLabs is disrupting a $30B industry by uniting AI with tangible marketing. One Example: When a storm hits, our platform geo-locates to zip code, activates direct mail campaigns in minutes, and tracks every conversion back to digital. The result: 5x return on conversions and 3x year-on-year growth for our customers.

The LettrLabs team is growing rapidly, and we’re looking for a Senior Manager of Talent & People Ops who is committed to helping us grow with stellar talent. As a Senior Manager of Talent & People Ops, you will partner directly with our leadership team to conduct workforce planning and then source, attract, identify, and close candidates across all functional areas of the business—from software engineering to robotics and operations.

As the initial full-time member of our Recruiting team, you will have a unique opportunity to help shape the recruiting function as a whole. While you’ll have the support of experienced leaders, you will be expected to operate with a high degree of ownership and autonomy to help support our mission of revolutionizing marketing through direct mail automation.

Location: This role requires in-person presence at our headquarters in Los Angeles, California.

Why Join Us

  • You will have a blue sky to innovate talent acquisition in an innovative company. You'll own a function with direct, measurable impact across the organization.
  • Work directly with leadership in a small, focused team where results are fast and visible.
  • Work in an exciting company with competitive compensation and growing benefits.

What You Will Own

  • Strategic Partnership: Partner closely with department leaders to conduct workforce planning and develop hiring strategies that meet growth targets with exceptional talent.
  • Talent Sourcing: Proactively source and attract top-tier talent by developing relationships within tech hubs, engineering communities, and specific automation/SaaS niches.
  • Brand Advocacy: Screen candidates and increase awareness of LettrLabs’ mission, technology, and talent brand.
  • Process Optimization: Design and refine interview processes to increase confidence in candidate selection, improve the candidate experience, and reduce bias.
  • Closing: Collaborate with the executive team to develop compelling closing strategies and resources to win high-impact hires.

What Success Looks Like

  • Hiring velocity meets business demand. Open roles are filled within mutually defined SLA targets (e.g., 30–45 days for IC roles, 90 days for leadership), with no critical headcount gaps blocking revenue or operational execution
  • Candidate quality is consistently high. Hiring managers report that slate quality meets or exceeds expectations, offer acceptance rates are ≥85%, and 90-day retention of new hires is at or near 100%
  • Process is structured and scalable. A repeatable recruiting infrastructure is in place (intake templates, scorecards, ATS hygiene, offer letter workflow) that works across functions and geographies without requiring VP-level oversight to run
  • Employer brand and candidate experience are assets. Candidates across all outcomes report a professional, timely, and respectful process, and LettrLabs is building a reputation that supports future sourcing

What You Bring

  • Experience: 5+ years of professional experience as a recruiter.
  • Technical Literacy: Proven experience recruiting for highly technical roles.
  • Full-Cycle Mastery: Demonstrated success in full-cycle recruiting, from initial sourcing through to the final close.
  • Agility: Experience supporting multiple high-priority hiring needs concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate dynamically and build strong, trusting relationships with both candidates and hiring partners.
  • Strong written communication: you write clear, on-brand copy for emails and direct mail without heavy editing support.
  • Comfortable operating independently in a fast-moving environment where you're building infrastructure that doesn't yet exist.
  • Startup plus agency/mature experience. You know what great looks like and how to get there!

Nice to Haves

  • 3+ years of experience specifically focused on technical recruiting for high-growth startups.
  • Automation chops and a desire to process improve
  • Wider generalist people operations experience
  • Prior success in a high-velocity, dynamic environment where priorities can shift quickly.
  • Experience in SaaS, Robotics, or Marketing Technology industries.
  • Experience developing new or unique sourcing strategies beyond standard job boards.
  • Experience interfacing with, coaching, and providing data-driven feedback to senior leaders.
  • Highly self-motivated with a sense of urgency and the ability to remain poised under pressure.
