About David AI

David AI is the first audio data research company. We bring an R&D approach to data–developing datasets with the same rigor AI labs bring to models. Our mission is to bring AI into the real world, and we believe audio is the gateway. Speech is versatile, accessible, and human— it fits naturally into everyday life. As audio AI advances and new use cases emerge, high-quality training data is the bottleneck. This is where David AI comes in.

David AI was founded in 2024 by a team of former Scale AI engineers and operators. In less than a year, we've brought on most FAANG companies and AI labs as customers. We recently raised a $50M Series B from Meritech, NVIDIA, Jack Altman (Alt Capital), Amplify Partners, First Round Capital and other Tier 1 investors.

Our team is sharp, humble, ambitious, and tight-knit. We're looking for the best research, engineering, product, and operations minds to join us on our mission to push the frontier of audio AI.

About the Talent team

The Talent team is responsible for building David AI's internal team, the people behind our mission. This includes identifying, engaging, and closing exceptional talent across technical, product, and business functions so we can scale the org as fast as the business demands.

About the role

As a Senior Technical Sourcer, you'll own top-of-funnel talent generation across the company. You'll build sourcing strategy and pipeline for roles spanning engineering, product, and business/ops, working directly with hiring managers and recruiters to identify and engage candidates who aren't actively looking. You'll be the engine that keeps our pipelines full as we scale.

In this role, you will

  • Own end-to-end sourcing strategy for a mix of technical, product, and business/ops roles, from role intake through qualified pipeline.

  • Build and execute boolean search strings, talent maps, and market research to identify high-signal candidates across LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing channels.

  • Partner closely with hiring managers and recruiters to translate role requirements into sourcing criteria and calibrate on what "high signal" looks like for each function.

  • Run outbound outreach campaigns that convert passive candidates into engaged pipeline, iterating on messaging based on response data.

  • Maintain clean, organized pipelines in Ashby, tracking sourcing metrics and funnel conversion to inform strategy.

  • Stay ahead of market trends, comp benchmarks, and competitor talent movement across the functions you support.

Your background looks like

  • 5+ years of sourcing experience, with meaningful time spent at a high-growth startup.

  • Demonstrated ability to source across technical (engineering), product, and business/ops roles, not just one function.

  • Strong command of boolean search logic and sourcing tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, Juicebox, Ashby or similar ATS).

  • A track record of building pipeline for hard-to-fill or niche roles.

Bonus points if you have

  • Experience sourcing in AI/ML or data-focused companies.

  • Familiarity with market mapping and competitive talent intelligence.

  • Experience partnering directly with C-level or senior hiring managers.

Benefits

  • Unlimited PTO.

  • Top-notch health, dental, and vision coverage with 100% coverage for most plans.

  • FSA & HSA access.

  • 401k access.

  • Meals 2x daily through DoorDash + snacks and beverages available at the office.

  • Unlimited company-sponsored Barry's classes.
