In this high-impact role, you’ll drive the transformation of our CI/CD pipelines and release workflows, automating operations and building robust testing and benchmarking systems to ensure world-class product quality at scale.

  • Lead the packaging process and collaborate with the platform team to ensure a smooth, efficient workflow.

  • Design and implement stress testing infrastructure from the ground up. Execute stress tests, analyze results, and feed regression signals back to engineering partners.

  • Build and maintain comprehensive testing infrastructure to validate TimescaleDB's performance and compatibility in cloud environments.

  • Take ownership of benchmarking frameworks (including tsbench), elevating their capabilities with advanced features (e.g., explain plans), and ensuring reliable, sophisticated measurement.

You Could Be a Great Fit if You Have:
  • Proven experience as a Senior Release Engineer, QA Lead, or similar role with end-to-end release process ownership.

  • Deep expertise in modern CI/CD practices and tools, especially GitHub Actions.

  • Strong Python skills for automation, tooling, and infrastructure.

  • Hands-on experience running PostgreSQL in production environments.

Nice to Have:
  • Prior experience with TimescaleDB.

  • Basic knowledge of Kubernetes.

What Success Looks Like
  • Comprehensive and reliable test coverage enables the team to deploy with confidence.

  • Regressions are detected early through robust stress testing and benchmarking.

  • Clear, actionable metrics and signals support continuous improvement.

  • Established, close collaboration with the platform team to deliver high quality releases efficiently and smoothly.
