About the role

Deep Origin is seeking a dynamic, experienced UX Designer to elevate the user experience of our groundbreaking platform. As a UX Designer, you will drive customer UX research, rapid prototyping, and stakeholder alignment to build intuitive user-centric designs. This is a hands-on role where speed, agility, and a balance between high- and low-fidelity design approaches are critical to success.


Requirements
  • Proven experience in UX design, with a focus on research, prototyping, and leading design teams or initiatives.
  • Strong client-facing skills and the ability to translate client needs into actionable design requirements.
  • Expertise in creating and iterating on both low- and high-fidelity prototypes to support rapid discovery and testing.
  • Familiarity with AI-first design tools and a passion for leveraging technology to enhance efficiency and innovation.
  • A solid understanding of data-driven workflows and experience designing for complex applications.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, capable of uniting diverse stakeholders and driving alignment across teams.
  • Preferred but not required: experience building software for scientists.  

Responsibilities

  • Customer Research: Conduct user interviews, usability testing, and other research methodologies to gather actionable insights and understand client needs.
  • Prototyping and Experimentation: Rapidly create low-fidelity and high-fidelity prototypes to support discovery and experimentation, facilitating collaboration with PMs and engineers.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product management, engineering, and stakeholders to align design direction and ensure consistent delivery of user-centric solutions.
  • Tool Utilization: Leverage AI-driven tools and emerging technologies to accelerate design processes and systems development.
  • Data-Driven Design: Interpret complex data and workflows to create intuitive, user-friendly experiences that simplify intricate concepts for end-users.
