In this role, you'll organize and lead the editing process, ensure the product meets expectations and maintain overall awareness. You will produce shows from start to finish. The candidate should have strong editorial writing and storytelling skills, news/feature construction skills, and drama creation skills as well as experience with long-form, short-form, and/or digital projects. You'll be part of a collaborative team that creates compelling, timely, and accurate content to connect with viewers across traditional and digital platforms.

$60,400.00 and $116,200.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SPECTRUM NEWS
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Technical background in non-linear editing and Premiere Pro - 5+ years, experience as a lead editor preferred - 3+ years
- Education: Bachelor's degree in communications, broadcasting, radio/tv/film, or equivalent work experience preferred
- Technical Skills: Demonstrate creative proficiency to create and execute high level video effects using third-party software such as Premiere Pro software experience, knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, with complex plug-in and filter packages and Pro Tools
- Skills: Demonstrated technical skills with the editing equipment as well as strong skills in the creation of visual technique and special effects, Creative and respectively assertive, highly motivated, and results-oriented, experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Abilities: Ability to exercise judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining results, ability to analyze situations that require in-depth evaluation of variety of factors
- Travel Ability: Must be open to travel to discover the important stories in your neighborhood and willing to interact with the community
- Schedule: Ability to work different shifts or longer shifts due to "breaking news" and severe weather emergencies. Willing and able to work weekends and holidays
