Kettle is a team of passionate, fearless creatives focused on delivering great products, redefining best-practices, and providing new opportunities for our clients.

We are hiring Senior Visual Designers to join our team designing end-to-end digital website projects for one of our largest clients, a Bay Area based creative tech company. In this embedded role, you’ll partner with Visual Designers, Art Directors, Copy, UX, Production, and our client to create world-class digital experiences. You’ll be hands-on in the work, helping turn creative ideas and product stories into thoughtful, beautifully crafted digital design. You’ll own your design work from exploration through final execution, while also helping guide and support less experienced designers on your team. If conceptual digital design and detailed execution resonate with you, then this role may be a fit.

These roles require team members to be onsite 5 days per week, for 2-3 months at a time, for specific projects. At other times during the year, the team is remote.

Candidates should have:

  • At least 5+ years of digital design experience, including time working on websites and digital experiences in an agency and/or in-house environment
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating modern, thoughtful visual design across digital experiences, with a high level of craft and attention to detail
  • Mastery in Figma and Sketch, with a strong understanding of working within design systems and component libraries
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Keynote
  • Proactive communication skills, and the ability to work on multiple projects with large and variable teams simultaneously
  • Excellent collaboration skills, with experience partnering closely with Art Direction, UX, Copy, Motion, Production, and client teams
  • An optimistic and collaborative attitude; genuinely cares about doing great work and working with great people

We’d like to know that you can:

  • Create differentiating, modern, on-brand design solutions—it’s about meeting the challenge and then bringing something extra to the table
  • Translate creative concepts, product stories, and copy into clear, compelling digital experiences across a range of screens and contexts
  • Work confidently within an established design system, knowing when to use existing patterns and when an idea calls for something new
  • Communicate and present exceptionally, speaking clearly to design solutions and describing web interactions to your team and clients
  • Stay on top of best design practices and technologies, and see opportunities to creatively incorporate new tools and trends to elevate design and user experience
  • Partner closely with Art Directors and Copywriters to develop work that feels like one connected creative idea, rather than separate disciplines
  • Maintain quality and tone across all deliverables, from early explorations through final builds
  • Accept and incorporate constructive feedback in your designs, while contributing your own point of view
  • Help support and mentor less experienced designers, sharing knowledge and raising the quality of the work around you
  • Be both a strong team member and a proactive individual contributor

The target range of base compensation for this role is $85k - $110k. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
