Punchcut is looking for a Senior Visual Designer to remotely join our remote team on a 60-90 day contract with the possibility to extend or hire. You bring 5+ years of experience designing digital products, particularly mobile apps and platforms, with  strong grounding in user-centered design, visual systems, and modern design tooling. You are comfortable contributing independently while collaborating closely with product and design teams.

Experience with AI-driven experiences, scalable design systems, and emerging product interfaces is important. You are confident leading design efforts in a fast moving, collaborative studio environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as Visual Design Lead on client projects and direct the work of Visual Designers on your team
  • Apply user-centered design process to solve problems in contexts that have little precedence
  • Inspire teams with your vision for future user experiences
  • Lead brainstorming and concepting sessions internally and with clients
  • Explore a range of visual directions and facilitate client reviews to make informed selections
  • Participate in research and collaborate closely with interaction designers 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5-7 years minimum experience in digital design for mobile, television, tablet, web and software, with the last 2-3 years in a senior creative role
  • A stellar portfolio that shows creative range and innovative thinking
  • Demonstrable experience in the creation of new visual languages
  • Superior communication and client management skills
  • Experience directing and/or mentoring other visual designers
  • Thorough understanding of mobile platforms and UI presentation-layer technologies
  • Ability to produce great work in short timeframes, and manage time efficiently while multi-tasking
  • Ambitious, proactive, conceptual and honest 

BONUS POINTS FOR:

  • Consumer device UI currently in market
  • 3D modeling, motion design and/or experience with AR/VR
  • Design for specific brand development for AI or complex prototypes
