About Comfrt:
Comfrt is one of the fastest-growing direct-to-consumer brands, dedicated to blending mental wellness, inclusivity, and elevated comfort into every piece we create. Our mission goes beyond clothing — we build a community where everyone feels supported and seen. As we scale across DTC, retail, and emerging channels, we're looking for a strategic SEO Copywriter to help us grow our organic presence and show up wherever our customers are searching.
About the Role:
We're looking for a search-obsessed, brand-fluent copywriter to own the written word across our SEO ecosystem. This isn't a traditional content role — you'll be writing for rankings, for AI-generated answers, and for conversion across a growing number of channels including our DTC site, Amazon, TikTok Shop, and retail partners.
You'll sit on the SEO team and work closely with cross-functional partners in ecommerce, retention, paid, product, and creative — acting as the connective tissue between brand voice and search performance. As Comfrt continues to grow internationally, you'll also adapt and localize copy for multiple regions and markets, ensuring our voice translates across borders without losing its edge.

Key Responsibilities:
Search & AI visibility
  • Write SEO-optimized blog content targeting non-branded search and building topical authority across core content categories
  • Lead and support research and discovery projects to identify emerging keyword opportunities, shifting search intent, and untapped content territories
  • Craft content structured for AI answer visibility — Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, ChatGPT, and similar — applying AEO and GEO best practices
  • Develop and optimize title tags, meta descriptions, H-tag structures, and on-page copy across the site
  • Support internal linking strategy through intentional content architecture in every piece you write
  • Refresh and re-optimize existing content based on performance data and evolving search intent
  • Conduct routine content audits to identify optimization opportunities, content gaps, and pages in need of refresh or consolidation
Product & on-site copy
  • Write product descriptions, collection page copy, and category-level editorial copy for comfrt.com
  • Write and optimize granular on-site copy elements including meta descriptions, title tags, alt text, and custom metafields to support both SEO and accessibility
  • Develop SEO-optimized product listings for Amazon, TikTok Shop, and other retail partners — adapting copy to platform-specific constraints and search behavior
  • Write compelling, keyword-informed copy for new product launches, seasonal campaigns, and collection drops
  • Collaborate with the ecommerce team to improve on-site copy for conversion alongside SEO performance
  • Adapt and localize copy for international markets, ensuring regional relevance while maintaining brand voice consistency
Cross-channel copy support
  • Partner with the paid team to write ad copy, landing page copy, or blog content used in paid campaigns
  • Contribute to the Comfrt brand voice and cross-channel messaging framework, ensuring consistency from search to social to site
  • Work with the email and retention team when copy needs to pull from or align with organic content
  • Partner with the social team to ensure organic content and on-site copy are telling a consistent story across channels
  • Collaborate with fellow copywriters across the team to align on voice execution, maintain consistency, and pressure-test copy before it goes live
  • Support external partnerships and creator relationships where SEO copy or content briefs are needed, managing day-to-day communication with outside collaborators
Performance & process
  • Track and report on content performance using core SEO KPIs and use those insights to inform ongoing copy decisions
  • Use search tools (e.g., Ahrefs, Google Search Console, Profound) to inform content strategy and measure results
  • Conduct routine content audits to identify optimization opportunities, gaps, and consolidation needs
  • Operate within an organized brief-to-publish workflow and meet deadlines consistently
  • Contribute to content briefs, editorial calendars, and content planning when needed

Skills & Qualifications
Experience
  • 2–3 years of copywriting experience with a strong SEO focus — blog posts, landing pages, product descriptions, and category pages
  • 2–3 years writing ecommerce copy (PDPs, collection pages, product launches), ideally in a DTC or lifestyle apparel context
  • Solid understanding of AEO/GEO and the evolving search landscape — you know how to write for AI-generated answer visibility, not just traditional blue-link rankings
  • Keeps a pulse on how search is evolving — algorithm updates, AI Overviews, platform shifts — and adapts their approach without being asked
  • Comfortable writing across channels: DTC site, Amazon, TikTok Shop, YouTube, and/or retail partners
  • Exposure to or curiosity about writing for multiple regions or international markets — experience localizing copy for different audiences is a plus
  • Strong editorial instincts — you know the balance between copy that reads well and copy that performs
  • Ability to absorb and consistently apply our brand voice without sounding like every other brands on the internet
  • Comfortable working across large product catalogs and seasonal merchandising cycles
  • Detail-oriented with strong prioritization instincts — you don't lose quality under deadline pressure
  • Team-oriented and receptive to feedback, with the confidence to advocate for the right call
  • Experience with Shopify and paid copy experience (Meta, Google, TikTok) are a plus
  • Passion for apparel, fashion, or consumer brands is a plus
Platform Experience
  • Ahrefs, SEMrush, SE Ranking, or similar
  • Google Search Console
  • Google Analytics
Nice-to-have
  • Profound, Scrunch, AthenaHQ, Peec AI, Airops or similar
  • TikTok Shop Seller Center
  • Amazon Seller Central
  • Looker Studio
  • Shopify, Asana, ClickUp, Slack
