What We Do:

Huntress is a fully remote, global team of passionate experts and ethical badasses on a mission to break down the barriers to cybersecurity. Whether creating purpose-built security solutions, hunting down hackers, or impacting our community, our people go above and beyond to change the security game and make a real difference.

Founded in 2015 by former NSA cyber operators, Huntress protects all businesses—not just the 1%—with enterprise-grade, fully owned, and managed cybersecurity products at the price of an affordable SaaS application. The Huntress difference is our One Team advantage: our technology is designed with our industry-defining Security Operations Center (SOC) in mind and is never separated from our service.

We protect 3M+ endpoints and 1M+ identities worldwide, elevating underresourced IT teams with protection that works as hard as they do. As long as hackers keep hacking, Huntress keeps hunting.

What You’ll Do:

Huntress is looking for an SEO Specialist to join our growing web team. In this unique and specialized role, you'll be at the forefront of optimizing our digital presence for the evolving landscape of AI-driven search, with a strong emphasis on the content creation workflow impacting Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO).

This role will work to ensure our digital properties rank in traditional search results and excel in delivering comprehensive, authoritative answers within AI models and generative search experiences. Your expertise will be crucial in gleaning insights from these emerging trends, driving site optimizations that capitalize on AI/LLM-powered user behaviors, and ultimately delivering incremental traffic and revenue to Huntress.

Responsibilities:

AI & LLM Search Strategy & Optimization

  • GEO & AEO Strategy Development: Participate in the development and execution of strategies specifically designed for Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO). This includes identifying and targeting emerging query patterns, implicit information needs, and AI-driven content consumption behaviors.
  • Content for Generative AI: Collaborate with marketing, sales, product, and security operations to create and optimize content that is highly consumable and favored by large language models (LLMs) and generative AI systems. Focus on developing content structures and semantic elements that facilitate accurate and comprehensive AI-generated answers.
  • Prompt Engineering & Answer Optimization: Work to understand how users interact with AI-powered search interfaces (e.g., natural language queries, conversational prompts) and optimize content to be the definitive source for AI-generated answers.
  • Semantic SEO & Entity Optimization: Deeply integrate semantic SEO principles to ensure our content clearly communicates entity relationships and topical authority, making it more digestible and trustworthy for AI algorithms.
  • AI-Driven Content Audits: Conduct regular audits of existing content through the lens of AI and LLM performance, identifying gaps and opportunities for optimization to improve visibility within generative search experiences.
Reporting, Insights & Site Optimization
  • Performance Tracking & AI Insights: Analyze an expanded range of performance metrics, including emerging signals from AI-powered search, to understand how our content is being interpreted and utilized by LLMs. Prepare executive-ready insights and recommendations that specifically address GEO and AEO performance.
  • Site Architecture for AI: Collaborate with the web team to ensure our site architecture, internal linking, and technical SEO elements are optimally structured to support AI crawling, indexing, and content extraction.
  • User Experience (UX) for AI & Humans: Champion site optimizations that enhance both human user experience and AI model comprehension, ensuring content is discoverable and valuable across all search modalities.
  • Experimentation & A/B Testing: Design and execute experiments to test hypotheses related to GEO and AEO, measuring the impact of various content and technical optimizations on AI-driven visibility and engagement.
General SEO & Content Management
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Brand, Product Marketing, Demand Generation, and Creative teams to align content with company messaging and brand guidelines, extending our reach into AI-driven channels.
  • Industry Trends & Algorithm Expertise: Actively stay current on cutting-edge trends and developments in AI, LLMs, and their profound impact on search engine algorithms (e.g., Google's evolving use of AI in search ranking and answer generation). Document best practices for maximizing SEO in an AI-first world.
  • Content Management: Build, publish, and maintain website content within the CMS, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and optimization across metadata, URLs, and image properties to maximize performance and discoverability.
  • Project Management: Oversee and prioritize incoming website project requests using project management tools, driving clear timelines, cross-functional coordination, and on-time delivery.

What You Bring To The Team:

  • Proven track record (5+ years) of success in implementing SEO principles and content strategy, with a demonstrable understanding of how traditional SEO is converging with AI and LLMs.
  • Deep familiarity with AI/LLM-specific SEO tools and methodologies, in addition to industry tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMRush, SEOClarity, Ahrefs, Similarweb, Screaming Frog/crawling tools. Experience with Snowplow, Profound, and/or other emerging AI content analysis platforms is a plus.
  • Ability to draw conclusions from complex data sets related to AI performance metrics, to create compelling business cases and strategic recommendations for SEO and content.
  • A proven track record of increasing rankings, traffic, and revenue through managing and executing SEO strategies and tactics, with an eye towards the opportunities presented by GEO and AEO.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple, often experimental, projects simultaneously in a rapidly evolving AI landscape.
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to measure content effectiveness and adapt strategies based on AI and human search performance.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to craft content that appeals to both human audiences and AI models.
  • Familiarity with web content management systems.
  • Experience working in Cybersecurity, SaaS, B2B, or a tech-enabled service company is a bonus.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS is a plus.

What We Offer:

  • 100% remote work environment - since our founding in 2015
  • Generous paid time off policy, including vacation, sick time, and paid holidays
  • 12 weeks of paid parental leave
  • Highly competitive and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits plans
  • 401(k) with a 5% contribution regardless of employee contribution
  • Life and Disability insurance plans
  • Stock options for all full-time employees
  • One-time $500 reimbursement for building/upgrading home office
  • Annual allowance for education and professional development assistance
  • $75 USD/month digital reimbursement
  • Access to the BetterUp platform for coaching, personal, and professional growth
