About the Team: 

Supply Chain at Relativity Space is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain networks required to manufacture, test, and launch the cutting edge next generation reusable launch vehicle - Terran R. Within the Supply Chain org, the Materials Management team is responsible for the physical and systematic movement of inventory, including all operations related to shipping, receiving, logistics, inventory control, material handling, and production control. As a part of the Materials Management team, you will ultimately be responsible for inventory accuracy and ensuring efficient and timely material movement. In this role, you will become a subject matter expert on the enterprise systems we use (ERP, MES, etc.) and you will interact with a number of cross-functional stakeholders and internal customers spanning various work centers, including but not limited to: Avionics, propulsion, machine shop, tube shop, additive, and structures & integration. What You’ll Do:

  • Manage order fulfillment for small parcel, LTL, and freight forwarder shipments.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing shipping logistics for cargo transportation carriers and shipping companies.
  • Prepare shipping documents for LTL shipments such as bills of lading, and shipping labels.
  • Stand up Dangerous Goods and Trade Compliance procedures.
  • Communicate with internal and external personnel for clarity on shipping inquiries.
  • Secure all shipments ensuring the items are safely packaged.
  • Create new procedures and processes to keep up with the growth of the company.
  • Maintain Shipping area and order necessary equipment as needed.

What You Need to Know:  

  • 2+ years of experience in a Shipping, Inventory, Receiving Inspection or material handling role
  • 2+ years of forklift experience
  • Proficient with email communication and experience interfacing with shipping and warehousing software
  • Able to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted
  • Able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Flexible schedule and ability to work non-standard shifts, overtime, and weekends as required
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and Atlassian tools.
  • Prior experience with international freight (air, ocean, ground) and customs brokers.
  • Detail-oriented compliance mindset: Accurately classifying shipments with correct HTS codes and ECCN, preparing commercial invoices, certificates of origin, Shipper’s Letters of Instruction, and other export docs.
  • Hands-on international shipping experience — preparing and documenting exports, coordinating with freight forwarders, and managing global shipments.
  • Proficiency with HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule) codes, ECCN (Export Control Classification Number) determination, and related documentation for imports/exports.

Nice to Haves:  

  • 5+ years of experience in logistics, Inventory, Receiving Inspection or material handling role
  • 5+ years of forklift experience
  • Experience with dangerous goods and trade compliance
  • Experience working in aerospace / launch services industry
  • Interest and knowledge in flight hardware and terminology 
  • Hazmat shipping experience: Certification and practical knowledge of 49 CFR (DOT), IATA, and/or IMDG for shipping hazardous materials common in aerospace (propellants, batteries, composites, etc.)
