Step Into the Mission. Help Employers Get Military Hiring Right.

At BufferSprings, we partner with the nation's most committed employers to build military-effective programs that create real results. We do not wave flags or run job fairs that go nowhere. We train companies to do this the right way. And we are looking for transitioning service members who want to help lead that charge.

As a Human Resources Project Management Intern, you will play a key role in developing, supporting, and delivering HR strategies and training programs that directly impact veteran and military spouse hiring across our national partner network.

This is your chance to get real-world experience in employer engagement, workforce development, program execution, and data-driven strategy. You will be working directly with internal teams and external partners to solve real problems that matter to the military-connected community.

What You Will Do:

Collaborate with Employers on Strategy and Design

  • Help develop veteran hiring and retention strategies that align with business goals

  • Support the creation and delivery of employer training workshops and toolkits

Support Program Planning and Execution

  • Keep internal and client teams aligned through clear updates, briefings, and documentation

Lead Communication Across Teams
  • Serve as a connector between BufferSprings staff and employer stakeholders

  • Ensure communication is proactive, professional, and focused on outcomes

Analyze Data and Drive Performance
  • Review survey results and feedback from employers, candidates, and program participants

  • Identify trends, track engagement, and make recommendations for improvement

  • Assist in reporting that showcases program value and ROI to leadership

Leverage CRM and Workflow Tools
  • Use our CRM to manage client interactions, project tasks, and documentation

  • Ensure accurate records and help streamline internal and partner workflows

Operate with Ownership
  • Take initiative, solve problems, and manage your responsibilities with confidence

  • Bring forward ideas, observations, and improvements to help strengthen delivery and impact

To be eligible, you must:

  • Be currently serving on active duty in the U.S. military

  • Have at least 90 days of service remaining before your official separation date

  • Have approval or be in the process of obtaining approval from your unit or command to participate in SkillBridge

  • Eager to develop skills in program management, project planning, and workforce strategy

  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple moving parts

  • Clear communicator, both written and verbal, with confidence in cross-functional team settings

  • Able to work independently while staying highly engaged in a remote team environment

  • Driven to contribute to a mission that helps top-tier employers hire and retain military-connected talent
