About the role

We are considering applicants within the United States. There will be 40 hours a week available, ideally evenly broken out every other day in equal amounts, however, the structure of the hours can be flexible.

Crunchyroll is seeking a strategic and execution-focused Community Manager to launch and grow our dedicated manga social media channels and assist with our current existing channels. This role will lead end-to-end social channel management — from strategy and content planning to cross-functional coordination, publishing, and performance reporting.

The ideal candidate understands fandom culture, thrives in fast-paced environments, and knows how to translate brand and business goals into engaging, high-performing social content.

  • Launch and grow Crunchyroll’s manga social channels across priority platforms.
  • Own content strategy and calendar, aligning with brand, editorial, and growth goals.
  • Lead cross-functional coordination to develop, approve, and publish social content.
  • Write platform-native copy and manage scheduling and publishing.
    Build and engage an active manga fan community while monitoring trends and sentiment.
  • Define, track, and report on KPIs; optimize content through data-driven insights and testing.
  • Align social initiatives with broader marketing campaigns and key launches.

About You
  • You are an anime and manga fan who loves social media and can connect with our passionate fanbase.
  • You have 5+ years previous experience with community management, bonus if it’s for entertainment companies or global brands.
  • You are already familiar with social media management and stay up to date with social media best practices.

Crunchyroll's Audience Development team manages our social media, editorial, multimedia projects, influencer activations, and more! The social media team oversees one of the entertainment industry's largest social media networks, with millions of followers across every major platform and growth beyond industry standards.

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Crunchyroll’s Total Rewards offerings for employees.
