Social Media and Communications Specialist

Description 

The Collier Companies is seeking a Social Media & Communications Specialist to lead the strategy, execution, and performance of our social media presence across multiple brands and communities. 

This is an on-site role, reporting out of The Collier Companies Florida Home Office in Gainesville, which offers beautiful natural areas, a temperate climate, and tremendous educational, cultural, and commercial opportunities. The Social Media & Communications Specialist will be responsible for developing and executing paid and organic social media, communications, and public relations strategies that strengthen brand awareness, drive engagement, and support business objectives. This role will oversee multiple social media accounts and brands, manage Meta advertising campaigns, coordinate media opportunities, manage online reviews, promote internal and external awards, create website and print content, and ensure all efforts align with The Collier Companies brand, marketing, and communications goals.

Qualifications

Day to Day: 

• Develop and execute cohesive paid and organic social media strategies across multiple brands and communities. 

• Plan, create, schedule, and publish engaging content across Meta, Instagram, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms. 

• Manage and optimize Meta advertising campaigns, including audience targeting, retargeting, lead generation, A/B testing, and budget allocation. 

• Analyze paid and organic campaign performance and translate insights into actionable recommendations. 

• Monitor social media engagement, brand sentiment, reach, conversions, and overall campaign effectiveness. 

• Collaborate with marketing, leasing, operations, development, and executive teams to align social media initiatives with company objectives. 

• Write and edit social media copy, website content, press releases, award submissions, and internal communications. 

• Oversee company-wide online reputation management, reviews, and social engagement. 

• Develop content calendars and campaign strategies that support leasing, occupancy, recruitment, and corporate branding goals. 

• Identify social trends, platform updates, and emerging opportunities to keep The Collier Companies ahead of the curve. 

• Create playbooks, best practices, and training resources to ensure consistent execution across teams and communities. 

• Provide ongoing coaching and support to onsite teams regarding social media strategy and engagement and host, at minimum, monthly team training.

Your Skills – Show Us What You Got: 

• Minimum of 2 years of experience managing social media marketing for multiple brands, business units, or clients. 

• Proven experience developing integrated paid and organic social media strategies that drive measurable business outcomes. 

• Advanced knowledge of Meta Business Suite, Ads Manager, audience segmentation, retargeting strategies, and campaign optimization. 

• Strong understanding of content strategy, community management, social analytics, and performance reporting. 

• Entrata experience is a plus. 

• Excellent copywriting, editing, and storytelling skills. 

• Experience with LinkedIn marketing and advertising is a plus. 

• Experience in multifamily housing, real estate, hospitality, or consumer-facing brands is a plus. 

• Public relations and media relations experience is a plus.
