ABOUT YOU

Creativity is the lava that flows through your veins. You are an idea machine with an insatiable capacity to make cool stuff. You are also a citizen of the internet, speaking its languages fluently and knowing instinctively how to translate complicated or even boring ideas into compelling stories. You don’t take yourself too seriously, and see feedback for the gift it is, because it always makes the work (and you) better. And most of all, you’re in the game for the love of the movement, whether the algo is in your favor that day or not. 4 likes or 4,000, you know what stories move hearts, minds, and follows. Making social content is FUN for you. Because after all, it should be fun to change the world.

  • Create engaging social content tailored to specific goals and target audiences, including static and video creative.
  • Oversee day-to-day execution of social channels (IG, LI, FB, YT, and more), including but not limited to posting, responding to direct messages, community engagement, and monitoring comments.
  • Post social content consistently and frequently to maintain an active and engaged presence on all platforms.
  • Maintain Eat Real’s digital asset management system, keeping content organized and up-to-date.
  • Stay up-to-date on social media trends, tools, and best practices, incorporating new ideas into our social media efforts.
  • Provide regular reporting to inform strategy and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to social media comms.

The above is an overview of the job; as needs arise, there will be additional miscellaneous responsibilities.

    • Be a Great Hang
    • Make Every Day Better
    • Leave Room for Magic
  • Builder mindset: comfort with ambiguity, enjoys starting from scratch
  • Strong collaborative & inclusive working style
  • Self-direction, integrity, tenacity, and a “let’s get it done” attitude
  • Clear, structured, and responsive communication
  • Know your way around cloud-based software applications, including Asana, Slack, Zoom, G Suite, Figma, Video Editing Software, and DAM Software

Ability to travel as needed; driver’s license and ability to lift up to fifty pounds required.

WHAT ELSE YOU NEED TO KNOW

Eat Real is an equal-opportunity employer. We are committed to creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment in our organization and in our work.

Eat Real is the only national doctor-led, foodservice-approved nonprofit on a mission to put real food on the table—at school, at home, and in local and national policy. We believe every child deserves a healthy, delicious future on a livable planet, and public school cafeterias are the most impactful solution to solving America’s children’s health crisis.

Through our award-winning K-12 certification program, we give foodservice leaders the framework and support they need to make school menus delicious, nutritious, and responsibly sourced. Together with a community of foodservice professionals, doctors, food advocates, chefs, and parents, we raise awareness about the power and urgency of serving real food at every meal. And from the cafeteria to the Capitol, we advocate for policies and standards that ensure every child has access to nourishing food.

The cafeteria can change the future—for our kids, our communities, and our planet.
