Skydance/Paramount Games is looking for an experienced and passionate Social Media Manager to develop and execute the social media strategy for the brand and all upcoming titles. You will work closely with our global partners and internal departments on all global strategy and planning across all platforms and channels. You’ll lead all content development, shoots and collaborations with internal and external Paramount partners to publish content. You’ll help define the brand
This role requires attention to detail, careful adherence to deadlines, a keen ability to pivot, and the ability to stay cool under pressure. It will also be an absolute blast, providing the opportunity to create content with world-famous and beloved IPs; work alongside a historic development team; and the ability to lead world-class social marketing campaigns.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of executing industry-leading social media campaigns for a diverse array of titles and be comfortable playing a managerial role in a fast-paced marketing team, setting standards through creativity and collaboration, and directly control brand social media channels.
*This will be a 6 month project hire with the potential for extension and/or conversion to staff hire.
Responsibilities: Include, but are not limited to:
- Lead the strategy and execution of all tactics, social media opportunities and events tied to game launches.
- Lead creation of social content from concept through delivery and publishing, ensuring content adheres to all brand and IP requirements and supports growth for title and brand.
- Develop and pitch social-first content series that grow and sustain a fan-first audience, turning ideas into engaging, platform-native executions.
- Work with all internal and external partners to ensure social and community beats and activations are aligned and executed between necessary parties.
- Manage all publishing and community engagement across all social media channels including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube and Threads.
- Collaborate proactively with teams managing creator activations to ensure correct amplification of the title’s messaging and brand pillars via influencer content.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators across social platforms, using data-driven analysis to improve engagement, reach, and conversion rates.
- Keep up to date on industry best practices and provide recommendations for internal strategies. Be the driver for new platform experimentation and adoption.
Requirements
- 5+ years relevant work experience related to video game marketing.
- Track record of launching a minimum of 1 shipped AAA title for the US market.
- Strong understanding of the current video games landscape and modern social marketing tactics.
- Strong spoken/written communicator for partner, media, and business audiences.
- Have an affinity for pop culture, legendary brands in television and film.
- Experience working with global partners to build and execute social strategies, manage internal and partner stakeholders and navigating layered approval processes.
- Intermediate skills in Photoshop, Premiere, Sprinklr and TalkWalker.
- Great interpersonal communication skills – able to help others and ask for help when needed.
- Experience working with both creative minds and corporate entities.
- Self-starter and strong team player who can work independently and responsibly.
- Experience managing and working closely with agencies.
