About FULU Foundation

FULU Foundation exists to inform, mobilize, and equip consumers to take back control over their devices and content. We expose anti-consumer practices, challenge the legal frameworks that enable them, and work to build a culture that values true ownership. Through storytelling, advocacy, and public education, we aim to shift both policy and public perception toward a world where consumers have full control over their tech, where buying a product means having the full right to use, repair, customize, and understand it without interference.

Position Overview

We are seeking a creative and strategic Social Media Manager to build and lead FULU Foundation's digital presence from the ground up. This role is perfect for someone who can blend content creation with strategic thinking: turning complex consumer rights issues into engaging social media that drives action. You'll own our social media strategy across X, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn while creating short-form videos, amplifying long-form content, and monitoring trends to identify opportunities. You'll be collaborating directly with our President and managing cross-platform content creation that spans everything from script writing and filming to performance optimization. As an early team member, you'll have significant autonomy to experiment and define how we show up online, playing a critical role in building the movement for consumer control over technology.

  • Create short-form clips from the President’s long-form YouTube channel that effectively communicate our mission and encourage action by viewers
  • Edit, research, and fill production gaps to support the President in YouTube content creation

Strategic Support

  • Monitor news cycles and social media trends to find opportunities for relevant content
  • Support organizational priorities through social media strategy development and execution
  • Collaborate with colleagues across different functional areas
  • Adapt quickly to new projects and opportunities as they emerge

  • Idea generation: You pitch content that advances our mission and connects with people
  • Video editing skills: You can edit raw footage into a long-form video, a long-form video into a short-form post, quickly and efficiently
  • Drive: You can take an idea and turn it into a finished video or post
  • Campaign mindset: You understand that we’re creating content to advance organizational goals, not just get engagement

Preferred Qualifications

  • Tech policy/consumer protection background: Interest in Right to Repair, privacy, and similar issues
  • Scrappy: You figure things out, pick up new skills, and help teammates
  • Trend awareness: You know what's doing well on different platforms and can make authentic content
