We are seeking a dedicated and organized Social Media Manager to join Asian Career House. You will be responsible for managing our social media presence and driving engagement across various platforms to raise awareness about our directory, community building, event promotion and programs we offer.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement a social media strategy aligned with our mission and goals to increase visibility and engagement.

  • Create compelling content, including graphics, videos, and written posts, that resonates with our target audience.

  • Manage day-to-day activities on social media platforms, including scheduling posts, monitoring comments, and responding to inquiries.

  • Grow our social media following and community by identifying and engaging with influencers, partners, and relevant organizations.

  • Analyze performance metrics and track key insights to optimize content and strategy for maximum impact.

  • Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to integrate social media initiatives with broader campaigns and initiatives.

  • Stay updated on social media trends, best practices, and platform algorithms to continually improve our approach and results.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience managing social media accounts for organizations or brands, preferably in the non-profit sector.

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.) and their respective audiences.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for storytelling and community engagement.Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas for content and campaigns.

  • Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics platforms.

  • Passion for mental health advocacy and a commitment to promoting well-being within diverse communities.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Social media management experience

  • Graphic design experience

  • Social media calendar management

  • Organization and communication skills

EXPECTATIONS

  • This is a volunteer role; we’re asking for 3-5 hours/week max to contribute no volunteer should be exceeding these hours without communication to their manager

  • Must attend meetings for team meetings and 1:1s

  • Communication is key and participation is required to commit to the project
