Position Summary:

Concentric Innovation is seeking a Software Developer with strong analytical and technical expertise to design, build, and enhance client-facing applications that support data-driven investment and portfolio decisions. This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives in a collaborative environment, values clean and scalable code, and is motivated by building reliable, high-impact financial technology solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain software applications that enable advanced data analysis, reporting, and portfolio insights.
  • Collaborate with product, research, and investment teams to translate business and quantitative requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Build and maintain APIs and integrations to support data ingestion, transformation, and visualization across platforms.
  • Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability across cloud-based and distributed systems.
  • Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code following industry best practices and internal standards.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development workflows and engineering practices.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies in software engineering, analytics, cloud computing, and financial technology.

 

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages, including C#, .NET, TypeScript, and Python.
  • Experience building scalable, secure applications and applying DevOps practices for production deployments.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, software design patterns, and serverless computing services.
  • Experience designing and working with cloud-based architectures.
  • Solid knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (SQL, MongoDB, and other NoSQL technologies) and data modeling.
  • Familiarity with AWS and cloud-native services.
  • Experience using version control systems such as GitHub or SVN.
  • Understanding of analytics workflows and the ability to work with large, complex datasets.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to code quality.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience with SSRS or other reporting and business intelligence tools.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis libraries and data analytics frameworks.
  • Experience leveraging AI and machine learning technologies to solve complex business problems.
  • Prior experience in the financial services or investment management industry is a plus.

Pay Transparency:

Concentric Innovation’s expected starting base compensation range for the position as of the time of this posting is $130,000 - $150,000 per year. The actual base compensation selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including (but not limited to) experience, education, specialty, and training. The successful candidate(s) may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus award.
