UtiliSave has been an industry leader in utility bill auditing and energy efficiency services for over three decades, and we are growing rapidly as we expand our business. UtiliSave is seeking a dynamic and experienced Software Development Manager, to join our IT team. Software Development Manager will be responsible for managing projects to make sure the proposed plan adheres to the timeline, budget and scope. Their duties include planning projects in detail, setting schedules, and executing each step of the project as well as clear communication with relevant stakeholders. The person holding this role will report to the CEO.

Scope of work:

Software Development Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing complex technical IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required specifications by acting as a bridge between the technical team and stakeholders, utilizing their deep technical knowledge to manage project scope, milestones, and resource allocation while effectively communicating progress and addressing technical challenges throughout the project lifecycle, and being a leader in making technical decisions with the IT team to ensure first in class products.

Responsibilities

·         Create and constantly update the IT Business Plan in conjunction with the CEO.

·         Plan for and allocate necessary IT resources to meet the goals of the IT Business Plan.

·         Define project scope, goals, timelines, and resource requirements, creating detailed work plans and breaking down complex projects into manageable tasks/role responsibilities. Provide technical expertise, evaluate technology options, and guide the team on technical decisions throughout the project. 

·         Communicate project status updates, manage expectations, and address concerns with clients, business stakeholders, and technical teams to all stakeholders

·         Analyze and develop technical procedures and all relevant duties.

·         Obtain specifications, review and define current projects, as set by Management

·         Plan and work with management on assigning responsibilities among the developers.

Requirements

·         At least 10 years of relevant experience, at least 5 years in a similar role

·         Experience managing projects developed in C# (.NET Framework 4.8), MVC, and MS-SQL. Experience with Python projects is a plus

·         Experience working with C level executives, with excellent written and verbal communication skills

·         Proficiency in project planning methodologies, scheduling tools, and risk management techniques

·         Demonstrated success in coordinating all activities with team members, vendors and management

·         Organizational skills and time management skills to keep projects on track to the finish

 

Compensation: DOE, $80,000-$100,000
