Job Description:

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our development and operational workflows. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our CI/CD pipelines, scripting automation tasks, and managing tools like GitHub and JIRA. Your expertise in Jenkins will be essential in ensuring smooth and efficient build and deployment processes.

 

Key Responsibilities:

CI/CD Pipeline Management: Design, implement, and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure rapid and reliable delivery of software.

Scripting and Automation: Develop and maintain scripts for automation of various tasks, including deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management.

Jenkins Administration: Configure, manage, and optimize Jenkins for build automation, ensuring high availability and performance.

GitHub Management: Administer and manage GitHub repositories, including branching strategies, pull requests, and code reviews.

JIRA Administration: Manage JIRA projects, workflows, and integrations to support agile development processes.

Monitoring and Logging: Implement and maintain monitoring and logging solutions to ensure system health and performance.

Collaboration: Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of software products.

Security: Ensure security best practices are followed in all aspects of the development and deployment processes.

 

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a DevOps role or similar position.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in CI/CD tools and practices.
  • Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, Groovy).
  • Experience with Jenkins administration and optimization.
  • Solid understanding of GitHub and version control systems.
  • Experience with JIRA administration and agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
