We are looking for Backend Engineers to join Tatari. As a Backend Engineer, you will play a key role in the evolution and scaling of our platform. You’ll participate in system architecture decisions, develop best practices, and ship high-quality code to production. Responsibilities:

  • Write clean, concise application code in modern Python
  • Participate in technical architecture discussions and peer code reviews
  • Drive architectural changes such as enhanced data pipelines and scalable APIs
  • Collaborate cross-departmentally to understand business needs and develop new product features

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years developing software with object-oriented and/or functional programming languages - Python required
  • 2+ years building distributed systems at scale
  • 2+ years with a modern data stack (RDS, Databricks, Spark, Redshift, Kafka, Airflow,, lakehouse architectures, real-time databases, dbt, etc.)
  • Deep SQL and data modeling expertise
  • Nice to have: 
    • Experience developing API frameworks (e.g. REST, gRPC, GraphQL)
    • Interest in developing AI/ML-enabled features
    • Experience enhancing development processes by leveraging agentic coding tools while maintaining a high bar for quality (e.g. Cursor)
