About the Role:
We’re looking for talented engineers to design and build the software systems that powers Unlimited’s AI-native engineering platform. You will be responsible for developing tools that connect AI, physics, and engineering - enabling factories, power plants, and entire industrial systems to design themselves.

You’ll work across the stack to build internal design, simulation, and coordination tools that replace slow, manual engineering workflows with intelligent automation. This role is inherently multidisciplinary: you’ll collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers to translate complex physical systems into software.

What You’ll Do:

• Design and build core systems that automate engineering design, simulation, and project management.

• Work with mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers to translate physical systems into code that can reason about real projects.

• Design the core data structures that capture how real-world engineering systems are represented in software.

• Contribute to our web app that ties these systems together, occasionally working across the web stack to support new features and workflows.

• Embed with customers to understand their problems and rapidly prototype solutions.

You have:

• Strong fundamentals in Python and familiarity with modern web technologies.

• Experience building tools used by mechanical, chemical, electrical, civil engineers or other technical users.

• Expertise in data modeling and schema design for representing physical or hierarchical systems.

• Ability to work across the stack, from backend systems to the internal web app that ties them together.

• Curiosity about hardware engineering and a desire to learn how real projects get built.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across disciplines, translating between engineering domains to solve complex, cross-functional problems.

• Comfort working under tight deadlines and ambiguity in a fast-paced, high-output environment.

• Ability to travel to projects and customers as needed.
