Design, develop, and implement novel generative AI solutions to address mission critical challenges across various departments and products. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for applying AI in operations and creative workflows. Continuously evaluate and improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of Gen AI models in production. Develop methodology for benchmarking and evaluation to track and maximize model performance. Stay at the forefront of AI technology, ensuring that our solutions are innovative, efficient, and impactful. Collaborate on projects, demonstrating technical leadership and building cross-team relationships to deliver on objectives. Use strong communication skills (written and verbal) to mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering an environment of growth and innovation. Up to 10% domestic travel required to CA office. Telecommuting is permitted. Employee may request to work from any city & county in the following states: CA, CO, ID, IL, GA, MA, MO, MN, NJ, NV, NY, OR, RI, TX, UT, WA. Salary: $265,000 to $400,000 per year.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, plus 5 years of professional experience as Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, or any occupation/position/job title designing and implementing Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning solutions.
Must also have experience in the following: 5 years of professional experience utilizing Python and one of the following: Node.js, React, or JavaScript; 4 years of professional experience deploying and scaling products at high-growth businesses; 2 years of professional experience designing, refining, and optimizing prompts for large language models, generative AI, and Machine Learning (ML) infrastructure; 1 year of professional experience designing and implementing evaluation frameworks, monitoring systems, and dashboards to assess model performance; 1 year of professional experience utilizing Gen AI technologies and developing human feedback systems for generative AI that include data collection interfaces, synthetic data generation, and production data (including probabilistic output handling, prompt engineering, or evaluation strategies); 1 year of professional experience implementing and refining Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems, including optimizing embedding models, text chunking, and vector storage.
