About Luma AI
Luma's mission is to build multimodal AI to expand human imagination and capabilities. We believe that multimodality is critical for intelligence. To go beyond language models and build more aware, capable, and useful systems, the next step function change will come from vision. We are working on training and scaling up foundation models for systems that can see, understand, show, and explain.

Where You Come In
This isn't just another frontend role, it's a rare opportunity to invent the new UI primitives for AI-native experiences at the intersection of technical excellence and impeccable design taste. You'll join a small, world-class team building the Dream Machine web application, working directly with designers to bring ambitious visions to life for millions of users. You will also work closely with the Growth Engineering team on fast-moving, experiment-driven surfaces focused on improving key metrics like signup, onboarding, and activation.

What You'll Do
  • Build and maintain user-facing features using React, TypeScript, and modern frontend tooling.
  • Translate product requirements and design specifications into high-quality, production-ready interfaces.
  • Rapidly prototype and iterate on growth experiments to improve conversion, onboarding, and engagement.
  • Partner with product, design, and data to define, ship, and analyze experiments.
  • Improve code quality through clean component patterns, documentation, and thoughtful abstractions.
  • Contribute to frontend architecture, shared components, and internal best practices.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to ensure clarity of requirements and smooth execution.

Who You Are
  • You have 3+ years of frontend engineering experience, ideally on consumer or high-usage web products.
  • You are a master of your craft, with deep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and modern CSS.
  • You have a solid grasp of state management, component design, and performance optimization.
  • You have experience working in fast-paced, experiment-driven environments with a focus on metrics and iteration.
  • You write clean, maintainable, and reusable code that serves as the foundation for a scalable design system.
  • You are comfortable working closely with designers and product teams to deliver clear, consistent UIs.
  • You are detail-oriented and committed to building reliable, maintainable systems.
  • You are familiar with common frontend patterns and fundamentals (including how to center a div).

What Sets You Apart (Bonus Points)
  • Examples of shipping production web applications.
  • Experience running or supporting A/B tests and analyzing results.
  • Experience working on media-rich or interactive web apps.
  • Familiarity with animation or interaction libraries (e.g., Framer Motion, GSAP).
  • Experience with creative tools, video, or AI-adjacent products.

Compensation
The base pay range for this role is $170,000 – $360,000 per year.
