The Role:  

Forge’s software engineering team is passionate about innovation and building scalable solutions that drive liquidity and growth in the private market. Our teams are leveraging a broad range of new technologies and are well-versed in delivering high quality, innovative solutions. We are seeking passionate engineers with at least 4 years of experience delivering innovative software solutions that are scalable, secure, and easy to maintain. The ideal candidate thrives in team settings, enjoys collaboration and mentoring engineers, and focuses on delivering value and making an impact.     

Location: This is a hybrid role where you'll be onsite 2-3 days a week in one of our locations: NYC or SF.  

Responsibilities: 

  • Implement and maintain web applications with customer domain and marketplace middleware specific business logic  
  • Communicate with team members. Work with Tech Lead, Engineers, Product Manager, and Program Manager to arrive at solutions that produce customer and business value. 
  • Develop concise, articulate, and detailed technical documentation  
  • Leverage Agile and Lean practices  
  • Partner with product on understanding requirements, review technical requirements, and take/implement actionable tasks from the team’s board/backlog 
  • Build and maintain automated tests (unit and integration), ensuring high code quality 
  • Support healthy system operations and ensure high levels of availability are achieved 

Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent years of working experience in the field  
  • 4+ years of software engineering experience 
  • Experience as a software engineer for a product engineering team 
  • Experience building APIs with C# and .NET 
  • Experience integrating AI into daily routine (crafting prompts, reviewing code, advice) 
  • Experience with SQL / Relational Databases 
  • Experience interpreting system design 
  • Proven track-record of teamwork and delivery 

Preferred Qualifications:   

  • Experience with CQRS, Event Sourcing, or similar approaches 
  • Experience developing event-driven systems leveraging Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar 
  • Fintech or Financial services industry experience with working knowledge of financial regulators and their concerns 
  • Experience with KYC (Know Your Customer) workflows 
  • Experience with multiple server-side programming languages   
  • Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) or Domain Driven Development 
  • Experience with an Event Store DB 
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and managing application deployments 
  • Experience with scaling systems to millions of users 
    • Working knowledge of the private market

For residents of San Francisco, CA the annual salary range for this role is $169,000-$200,000 annual bonus. Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on geography, candidate experience and expertise, bonus, and other factors
