Product & Data Engineering
The Product & Data Engineering team is responsible for end-to-end development for Disney's world-class consumer-facing products, including streaming platforms Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+, and digital products & experiences across ESPN, Marvel, Disney Studios, NatGeo, and ABC News. The NCPF Orchestration team builds systems that drive deployments at scale across multiple partners and devices. We implement reliable, scalable services and processes that help coordinate efforts across NCPF, Media Engineering, and Brand Alliances. We are looking for a software engineer who wants to build and operate these critical services that support all NCPF Teams!

Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:

  • Build and operate systems for managing NCPF deployments across all Brands
  • Coordinate and review requests across NCPF, Brands Alliances, and Media Engineering
  • Assess production health across more than 50 partners


Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in relevant work
  • Strong programming skills in C/C++, Rust, or other lower-level programming languages, and a strong grasp of computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, databases, etc.)
  • An ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Collaborate efficiently with product management, technical program management, operations, and other engineering teams to capture requirements, drive implementation, and provide transparency.
  • A broad perspective on problem-solving.
  • Strong communication skills and a desire to share your knowledge with team members and others at Disney.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in bash scripting
  • Experience with application development on console devices, such as Xbox, PlayStation, etc.
  • Experience with application development for Set-Top Box providers
  • Experience using source control systems and CI/CD pipelines.


Required Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent training or work experience.


The hiring range for this position in New York, New York and Seattle, Washington is $118,000 - $158,200, in San Francisco, California is $123,400 - $165,400, and in Glendale, California is $112,600 - $151,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
