As part of Optum Tech, the Software Engineer plays a significant part in solutioning, designing, and developing digital software components used across multiple member-facing portals. You will work in an Agile environment, collaborating closely with the business product management and members of a global engineering team. You will apply your skills in a highly dynamic, innovative, forward-thinking environment that follows industry best practices and fosters engineering culture.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of software engineering experience
• 3+ years of experience using Java, Javascript, SQL, C#, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information technology or related field, or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years of experience integrating with RESTful API's
• 2+ years of experience working with Jenkins CI/CD pipelines

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $72,800 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
