About the role
We’re looking for a Web Experience Engineer to build and optimize our public-facing marketing site, making drata.com a high-converting, high-performing destination. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on shipping new marketing features, optimizing performance and SEO, and scaling our site for the next phase of growth. You’ve previously owned or contributed significantly to a marketing or growth site (landing pages, content hubs, SEO, CRO, experimentation) and you’re excited to partner closely with marketing, design, and growth teams to move business metrics—not just ship UI.
What you’ll do
Build and maintain marketing UI
Build, refine, and maintain scalable UI components and pages using React, Next.js (App Router), and Tailwind CSS.
Implement reusable blocks and templates that empower marketing to launch campaigns quickly.
Integrate CMS and content workflows
Support content modeling and Contentful integration for new page types and components.
Partner with content and marketing teams to create robust, flexible content structures.
Drive conversion, SEO, and experimentation
Implement and iterate on CRO-focused features (forms, CTAs, layouts, personalization, etc.).
Implement tracking, analytics, and SEO enhancements across pages (meta tags, schema, sitemaps, redirects).
Collaborate with growth teams to set up experiments (A/B tests) and measure their impact.
Optimize performance and reliability
Improve Core Web Vitals, page load speed, and overall site performance, leveraging Next.js and Vercel.
Use preview environments to test and ship new features quickly and safely.
Ensure quality and collaboration
Run QA and testing, participate in sprint planning, and perform code reviews.
Collaborate with senior engineers to enhance our component libraries, design system usage, and site infrastructure.
What you’ll bring (must-haves)
3–5+ years of professional web development experience with React and Next.js, including:
At least 2 years working on a public-facing marketing or growth site (landing pages, campaign pages, content hubs, etc.).
Proven experience shipping and iterating on marketing pages with measurable outcomes (e.g., conversion, SEO, performance).
Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js (App Router), and modern CSS(Tailwind preferred).
Headless CMS experience on a marketing site—ideally Contentful—including content modeling, templates, and collaboration with non-technical editors.
Hands-on experience implementing SEO best practices (meta tags, structured data, sitemaps, redirects, canonical URLs) for marketing pages.
Strong experience with analytics and tagging (e.g., GTM, GA/GA4 or similar) and partnering with marketing/growth on tracking plans.
Experience setting up or implementing A/B tests / experiments on marketing pages using an experimentation or testing platform.
A collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills, with a track record of working closely with marketing, growth, and design teams.
A user-centric, results-driven approach—comfortable talking about tradeoffs, hypotheses, and impact rather than just implementation details.
Nice to have
Experience with search and discovery on content-heavy sites (e.g., Algolia or similar).
Familiarity with design systems and component libraries such as MUI and Radix UI.
Experience with QA and testing for web UIs (Jest, Testing Library, Cypress or similar).
Prior work in B2B SaaS, security/compliance, or high-growth startup environments.
