Software Engineer

ChipAgents is building next-generation software for chip design and verification. Our platform accelerates RTL design, simulation, and verification workflows, helping engineers ship silicon faster. We're a Series A company backed by tier-1 VC firms, deployed at dozens of billion-dollar companies. You'll be working alongside our world-class AI research team and chip designers, and join our software team in developing products end-to-end.

We are seeking a Software Engineer with strong programming fundamentals and good communication skills. You'll build customer-facing interfaces, backend systems, and cloud infrastructure. This role involves solving complex technical problems, debugging production issues, and shipping high-quality software that powers products used by leading semiconductor companies. You will also be expected to be able to communicate with users, our internal customer success team, and any other stakeholders in order to turn ambiguous requirements into useful and reliable software.

• Build and maintain backend services and platform infrastructure for the ChipAgents platform.

• Design and implement delightful interfaces for a new generation of agentic chip design tools.

• Debug and troubleshoot production issues across distributed systems and cloud environments.

• Collaborate with product, research, and customer success teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

• Support customer deployments and integrations, providing technical guidance and solutions.
  

• B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Strong programming fundamentals with proficiency in statically-typed languages (TypeScript, Java, Go, or similar).

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)

• Proven ability to debug complex issues and write maintainable and extendable code.

• Experience designing systems for scalability, reliability, and performance in production environments.

• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with customers, product teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  

• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation).

• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Experience building agents or applications based on Large Language Models

• Understanding of DevOps practices and deployment workflows.

• Experience working in fast-paced startup environments.

• Prior experience in EDA, semiconductor, or technical B2B software.

• Developing reliable infrastructure for long-running agent workflows across local and cloud environments.

• Improving the observability, performance, and reliability of multi-agent systems.
  

• $150K/yr – $350K/yr + Offers Equity. We are open to discuss above-scale compensation with exceptional candidates on a case-by-case basis.
