Job Description:
Advantest America, a leading Semiconductor Test and Measurement Company, is seeking self-driven and creative R & D Engineers who are interested in the field of Software Development. The job entails designing, developing, and testing software to enhance the 93000 SOC platform. The Advantest 93K group designs and produces state of the art instrumentation for world’s leading memory semiconductor manufacturers. You will participate in all aspects of product design from concept to production release, including feature definition, design implementation, verification, and qualification for ATE equipment used by advanced electronic manufacturers. This position is located at our headquarters in San Jose, CA. Candidate must be in the office 5 days per week.
Responsibilities include:
- Design, implement and test software from high-level requirements.
- Learn and follow Advantest’s policies and procedures for high quality software design. Typical projects include:
- Visualization of data from log files.
- Graphical User Interfaces to improve usability of existing solutions.
- Extent existing C++/Java API’s with new functionality.
Preferred Qualifications
Requirements:
- Expertise in software development with an emphasis on quality
- Strong understanding of:
- C++, Java and Python
- Git
- Data Structures
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team (HW, ASIC/FPGA, SW and Mechanical design engineers)
- Analytical approach to Problem Solving
- ATE knowledge and familiarity with low level hardware interfaces are an added plus but not a core job requirement.
- Progress towards a MS or BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field
