Compensation:
Compensation includes a base salary of $126,200.00 - $189,200.00. The salary rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's experience. In addition to the salary range identified herein, this role is also eligible for an annual incentive/commission target of $52,800.00.

Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a technical expert and trusted advisor, positioning RapidScale as a leader in software and application modernization during the sales process.
- Conduct technical discovery workshops to identify pain points, gather requirements, and define solutions for clients seeking to modernize or refactor applications.
- Lead software architecture and modernization strategy workshops, covering topics such as microservices, cloud-native design, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Architect software solutions on public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), leveraging deep expertise in cloud-native development and modernization tools.
- Develop cost estimates, labor projections, and Statements of Work (SOWs) for modernization projects.
- Collaborate in the creation of technical collateral, documentation, reference architectures, and sales presentation materials.
- Provide technical training and enablement for Sales and Go-to-Market teams.
- Ensure smooth handoff from pre-sales to implementation teams, clearly documenting and communicating proposed architectures for execution.
- Work closely with Product teams, providing field-driven feedback to enhance solutions and capabilities.
- Serve as a thought leader, speaking at industry events, publishing white papers, and contributing to case studies.
Qualifications:
Minimum:
- High School Diploma/GED and 7 years' experience in a related field.
- The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline and 5 years' experience; or 9 years' experience in a related field
- Professional or Expert-Level certification in one or more major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Experience working in fast-paced sales environments, particularly in pre-sales solution architecture.
- Expertise in software architecture patterns, including microservices, monolithic refactoring, event-driven architecture, and serverless computing.
- Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, API design, and security best practices.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, Go, or Rust.
- Experience with containerization & orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, EKS, ECS, OpenShift).
- Hands-on experience with cloud migrations and application modernization initiatives.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Puppet).
Preferred:
- Cloud-native application development specialty certification (cloud-agnostic or platform-specific).
- Experience modernizing legacy systems and managing technical debt.
- Multi-cloud expertise across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of AI/ML integration into software applications.
- Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd) and API gateways.
