Description

Sentrycs is seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Solution Engineer to serve as a primary technical resource supporting the U.S. Sales organization and its customers and partners. This role combines technical expertise, customer engagement, and solution architecture to help customers and partners understand, evaluate, and deploy Sentrycs' industry-leading C-UAS technology. The Solution Engineer will have strong customer engagement skills, will be able to articulate how a proposed and compelling solution design addresses customer requirements, and will be able to articulate field requirements to Sentrycs’ R&D, delivery, and Customer Success teams. 

The ideal candidate is self-motivated and proactive. They are equally comfortable discussing RF engineering concepts with technical experts, demonstrating solutions to executive stakeholders, supporting operational field demonstrations, and collaborating with engineering teams to develop customer-focused solutions. The candidate should have a strong technical background in computer software and networking systems as well as awareness of common RF concepts. Experience operating and deploying UAS\c-UAS systems is a plus. 

Responsibilities 

  • Partner with US Sales Leaders throughout the sales cycle as the primary technical advisor. 
  • Become a trusted advisor for Sentrycs’ prospective customers, understand their operational requirements, challenges, and objectives, design and recommend C-UAS solutions tailored to customer operational requirements, and maintain a collaborative relationship with prospects and customers. 
  • Conduct technical discovery sessions to understand customer operational requirements, mission objectives, and system integration needs. 
  • Deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, workshops, and proof-of-concept evaluations, including building event summary reports. 
  • Develop technical proposals, system architectures, deployment diagrams, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for quote requests managed by the US Sales Executives. 
  • Prepare responses to RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, and technical compliance matrices. 
  • Support customer evaluations, acceptance testing, and field demonstrations throughout the United States. 
  • Provide technical guidance regarding RF systems, spectrum considerations, and protocol-based mitigation technologies. 
  • Coordinate with Product Management and Engineering to communicate customer requirements and product enhancement opportunities. 
  • Support system integration with command-and-control platforms, radar, EO/IR sensors, and third-party security systems. 
  • Assist channel partners and system integrators with technical enablement and solution design. 
  • Partner with Customer Success team members to deliver technical training for customers, partners, and internal sales teams. 
  • Represent Sentrycs at trade shows, industry conferences, and customer events. 
  • Maintain awareness of emerging UAS and c-UAS technologies, competitor capabilities, evolving C-UAS regulations, and C-UAS industry trends. 
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Physics, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience). 
  • 5+ years of experience in Solution Engineering, Sales Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Technical Pre-Sales. 
  • Experience supporting emerging technology sales to at least one of the following markets; government, defense, homeland security, public safety, or critical infrastructure customers. 
  • Strong problem solving and prioritization skills. 
  • Strong understanding of IP networking, Ethernet, routing, switching, and network architecture. 
  • Experience with Linux operating systems and command-line management and troubleshooting. 
  • Familiarity with RF communications, wireless networking, and spectrum fundamentals. 
  • Excellent presentation and customer-facing communication skills. 
  • Demonstrates a proactive mindset by anticipating customer and company needs and taking the initiative to act on them. 
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities. 
  • Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems such as HubSpot and Salesforce. 
  • Ability to travel up to 50% within the United States and occasionally internationally. 
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience with Counter-UAS (C-UAS), electronic warfare, RF sensing, SIGINT, or spectrum management technologies. 
  • Experience selling emerging technologies to military, law enforcement, or public safety customers. 
  • Knowledge of FAA and FCC regulations, Federal programs and acquisition processes, and SLTT law enforcement programs and acquisition processes. 
  • Experience integrating security technologies including radar, cameras, access control, Unmanned Aircraft System Traffic Management (UTM), and Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) systems. 
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, networking protocols, virtualization, and cloud-based deployments. 
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized applications. 
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with rapid changes, handling multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, and taking on a variety of roles as business needs dictate. 
  • Existing U.S. security clearance (or eligibility to obtain one) is highly desirable.
