The Sales team is the driving factor behind revenue for Brex and every member of our team directly affects our bottom line. We focus on generating new opportunities, acquiring new customers, and building even stronger relationships with our current customers. Our winning culture recognizes big team wins and celebrates individual accomplishments. We ensure that top performers are recognized and have built a competitive environment to motivate and unify the team.

What you’ll do

As a Solutions Architect at Brex, you'll be part of the pre-sales team, helping prospective customers understand how our platform fits into their existing systems and processes. You’ll work closely with account executives, customer success, and product teams to provide the technical perspective during the sales cycle. Your job is to listen to customer needs, explain how Brex works, and guide conversations around integrations, APIs, security, and system compatibility.

You’ll act as a trusted technical advisor, helping enterprise customers evaluate Brex with confidence. You’ll play a key part in building trust, removing roadblocks, and setting customers up for long-term success.

Where you'll work

This role will be based in our San Francisco office. We are a hybrid environment that combines the energy and connections of being in the office with the benefits and flexibility of working from home. We currently require a minimum of two coordinated days in the office per week, Wednesday and Thursday. Starting February 2, 2026, we will require three days per week in office - Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. As a perk, we also have up to four weeks per year of fully remote work!

Responsibilities

  • You will work directly with prospective customers and internal teams to provide technical guidance throughout the sales process. Your focus will be on helping customers understand how Brex can integrate with their existing systems, including HRIS and ERP platforms like Workday, UKG, NetSuite, Sage, SAP, and QuickBooks.
  • You will support conversations around API capabilities, helping customers evaluate how they can connect Brex to their internal tools in a secure and scalable way. You’ll also advise on topics like Single Sign-On setup using providers such as Okta, Azure Active Directory, and Google Workspace.
  • As part of the pre-sales team, you’ll answer technical questions related to security, compliance, and data management, often referencing Brex’s trust portal and documentation to give customers confidence in our platform.
  • You’ll collaborate closely with account executives, customer success managers, product managers, and engineers to ensure customers have a clear and accurate understanding of what is possible with Brex. Your input will also help shape our product roadmap by sharing what customers need most.
  • Some travel may be required, up to about 30%, for in-person customer meetings or internal team events.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a technical role with a strong focus on system integrations (e.g., Solutions Architect, Technical Consultant, Integration Specialist).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field from an accredited program
  • Solid understanding and/or practical experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, SuccessFactors, ADP, UKG) and/or ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Sage, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
  • Familiarity with API design principles (REST, GraphQL), API usage, and data exchange formats (JSON, XML).
  • Understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions, including Single Sign-On (SSO) protocols (SAML, OAuth, OIDC) and Identity Providers (IdPs) like Okta, Azure AD, or Google Workspace.
  • Awareness of security best practices in SaaS environments, data protection, and compliance standards (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-centric mindset, with a track record of successful technical solution delivery.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Bonus points

  • Experience leading enterprise integrations involving multiple systems (e.g., HRIS, ERP, SSO, and custom APIs) across global organizations.
  • Familiarity with fintech or spend management platforms, and the ability to speak confidently about industry-specific workflows (e.g., expense management, procurement, vendor payments).
  • Experience working with compliance-heavy environments (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS) and contributing to security reviews or risk assessments.
  • Previous role in a start-up or high-growth tech company, demonstrating ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.

Compensation

The expected OTE range for this role is $192,552 to $240,690. The starting wage will depend on a number of factors including the candidate’s location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal pay parity.
