T-Rex is seeking a Solutions Architect to support development, adoption, delivery, and sustainment of the Operational Medicine (OpMed) products supporting the Defense Health Management System (DHMS). The candidate will work closely with senior T-Rex Technical Leads, End Users, DHA leaders/staff and DHA vendors to plan and execute product management.

The Defense Healthcare Management System is transforming the delivery of healthcare and advance data sharing through a modernized electronic health record for service members, veterans and their families. The Workforce 3.0 program within DHMS is a managed solution that leverages innovative new processes, methods, and best-in-class methodologies from the private sector to enable the entire PEO DHMS workforce to deliver world-class technology. The DHMS systems provide important health IT capabilities to 9.6 million active-duty military, their families, and their beneficiaries. This program supports management of technical deployments, field deployments, and technology training/adoption. Let’s talk about how you can help make a difference!

Responsibilities: 

  • Serve as technical expert regarding data integration and engineering for OpMed solutions
  • Drive the Technical design process across the System of Systems to comprehensively and efficiently map enterprise processes across OpMed Products
  • Develop an enterprise understanding to create solution oriented, hands-on, designs and architectural products that support implementation, validation and deployment of JOMIS products to Production environments; including the aspects of data management, cross-product integration, and cloud modernization
  • Assess existing solutions and data sources; consolidate data sources into a central data lake. Provide recommendations for data rationalization and methods to distribute the elements efficiently across many protocols
  • Participate in PMO meetings and support schedule, risk and cost planning
  • Understand the product backlog and planned changes to OpMed product functionality and upcoming releases with a focus on data integration and engineering
  • Identify issues and develop mitigations or solutions to resolve issues
  • Support Program leadership in driving processes and communications to cross functional teams and stakeholders.  

Requirements: 

  • 10+ years of professional experience, preferably as a Solution Architect or in a similar field
  • Experience developing detailed schedules and tracking and reporting status 
  • Experience providing subject matter expertise to senior level technical customers
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a larger team 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 

Desired Skills: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or another similar discipline 
  • Secret Clearance and CAC
  • Agile Certification (SAFe Agile Product Owner, Product Manager and/or Certified Scrum Master)
  • Experience developing or delivering technical scope of work 
  • Experience in the health IT industry and with medical devices
  • Experience at the Defense Health Agency

In compliance with pay transparency guidelines, the annual base salary range for this position is $115,000 - $150,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. T-Rex considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
