The Solutions Specialist team works to accelerate revenue growth (both ACV and ARR) for Plaid’s Credit solutions by combining knowledge of Plaid’s products with knowledge of consumer credit–key prospects, macro trends, the competitive landscape, relevant platforms, competitive intel, etc
You sell with expertise. Your deep product and market knowledge allows you to tailor solutions to customer needs, differentiating Plaid from competitors and becoming a trusted adviser to our prospects and customers.
You thrive in high-stakes sales cycles. You work with Sales (AEs/SEs) to create urgency, handle objections, and secure customer buy-in. You grow pipeline.
You develop strategies and playbooks to generate expansion and new opportunities, and execute them in collaboration with Sales (AEs, SEs, NBRs) and Product Marketing (PMM). You build a brand in your market space.
You participate in industry events, speak at conferences, visit partners and customers in your space, etc.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the complete sales funnel for our Credit products & features (building pipeline, selling, signing deals).
- Partner with Account Executives, Account Managers, Sales Engineers, Sales Leaders, Product Managers and Product Marketing to hit Credit revenue goals.
- Focus on sales readiness for bringing new products & features to market (post-MVP products -- beta stage and beyond).
- Responsible for authoring or updating the sales playbook that will enable scaling of early product sales to repeatable motion by scaled sales org (e.g. developing the GTM playbook, co-selling until product maturation).
- Scale and enable a sales process across many different customer types and sellers.
- Work cross-functionally to improve the client onboarding experience as they build with Plaid, collecting and translating customer and partner feedback into meaningful product insights for our Product, Marketing, and Engineering teams
Qualifications
- 8+ years of work experience, with 5+ years of sales experience in a sales, account manager, sales engineer or sales specialist role (quota carrying) and a strong track record of closing deals and/or supporting deal closure.
- Deep experience and market knowledge within the credit and lending space.
- Excitement about fintech, the future of our financial system, and expanding access/affordability of credit.
- Demonstrated sales abilities, with a track record of closing deals.
- Desire to engage deeply with cross-functional partners across GTM, Marketing, and Product – and build an in-depth understanding of how our solutions work and deliver value to customers.
- Strong presence and verbal communicator – comfortable engaging with business leaders, both internally and externally.
- Thoughtful strategic thinker with a bias for action; comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment with a high degree of ambiguity.
