The Sourcing team drives the product life cycle process from concept to launch partnering closely with design teams and vendor partners. This team plays a critical role in Owlet’s overall success by executing the development roadmap, selecting and managing vendors, establishing a resilient supply chain, and optimizing total cost of ownership. We are seeking a detail-oriented analyst who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about supply chain excellence.

Primary Responsibilities

Vendor set-up and relationship management

  • Oversee vendor onboarding, including execution of Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA), New Vendor Forms, Quality Agreements and Manufacturing Service Agreements (MSA). 
  • Maintain and organize supplier documentation to ensure compliance with company policies and procurement standards.
  • Track and monitor supplier performance metrics, supporting Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) by preparing data, analysis, and performance summaries.
  • Assist in managing supplier relationships by coordinating communication, resolving operational issues, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Sourcing and NPI purchase: 

  • Lead RFQ processes to identify and source suppliers for new development components supporting New Product Introduction (NPI), ensuring competitive pricing, quality standards, and reliable lead times.
  • Manage purchase orders for NPI builds, coordinating quantities, pricing, and delivery schedules to align with product development timelines.
  • Act as the sourcing representative throughout the product development lifecycle, partnering with engineering and suppliers to support component selection, supplier readiness, and cost management.

Pricing Negotiation & Cost Management

  • Support pricing negotiations for both new product development and existing products to ensure cost competitiveness and alignment with business objectives.
  • Review supplier quotations on a regular basis to validate pricing accuracy, assess changes in material and labor costs, and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Monitor monthly consignment inventory, yield loss, and PPV(Purchase Price Variance) reports to track material usage, analyze cost drivers, and support effective cost control initiatives.

Material Management

  • Review weekly Material Requirements Planning(MRP) with Contract Manufacturers(CM) to identify potential supply risks and support proactive planning to maintain material availability.
  • Partner with suppliers to improve inventory planning, demand alignment, and material readiness.
  • Resolve material shortages by coordinating with suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure uninterrupted production.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field
  • Experience in sourcing, supply chain, or procurement, preferably within manufacturing, medical or consumer electronics environments.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and Google Workspace tools
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive and collaborative approach
  • Familiarity with basic AI tools and the ability to leverage them to improve productivity, data analysis, and workflow efficiency.

Preferred

  • Experience with international sourcing or working with overseas suppliers
  • Additional language proficiency
  • Familiarity with sustainable sourcing or responsible procurement practices
  • Professional certifications such as CPM, CPSM, or CIPS are a plus
