The Special Projects Lead will drive pipeline acceleration, manage market segmentation, lead event initiatives, and enable growth with efficiency, focusing on sales and marketing operations.
The summary above was generated by AI

At August, we’re building AI designed for one thing: helping law firms practice better. Unlike tools built for the AmLaw 100, our focus is on midsized firms — where efficiency, client service, and competitive advantage matter most.

Our platform helps lawyers draft, review, and analyze documents at scale, turning what used to take hours into minutes. We’re trusted by forward-thinking firms across the U.S., Australia, and Asia, and backed by leading investors (NEA, Pear VC, Stanford Law) to grow globally.

We move quickly, learn directly from clients, and believe that AI is transforming the practice of law.

The Opportunity

We’re hiring a Special Products Lead (Growth Ops) to accelerate pipeline, sharpen our GTM motion, and run high-leverage projects across sales, marketing, and operations. No prior startup experience required—just hunger, grit, and ownership. Perfect for high performers in consulting, banking, finance, or growth/RevOps at startups who want to build in a fast-growing AI company.

What You’ll Do
  • Own top-of-funnel: Build targeted prospect lists, run outbound SDR campaigns (email, LinkedIn, events), and partner with an AE to convert qualified meetings.

  • Segment & prioritize markets: Research industries, define buyer segments/use cases, size opportunities, and recommend focus—then test quickly.

  • Conferences & field GTM: Plan and staff events, pre-book meetings, run on-site demos, and turn conversations into pipeline.

  • RevOps & reporting: Maintain clean CRM data, streamline routing, create dashboards, and instrument conversion metrics end to end.

  • Growth experiments: Rapidly test messaging, sequences, landing pages, offers, and channels; double-down on what works.

  • Enablement: Capture battle cards, competitor notes, objection handling; publish concise internal docs others can use.

  • Special projects: High-impact, cross-functional work—partner outreach, pricing comps, light analytics, vendor evaluations, ops clean-up—whatever moves the needle.

What You’ll Bring
  • Energy > pedigree. Proactive, coachable, and biased to action—you finish things.

  • Commercial instincts. You can spot real buyers, frame value crisply, and write tight outreach.

  • Analytical rigor. Comfortable with spreadsheets and turning messy data into clear decisions.

  • System thinking. You like building processes that make tomorrow easier than today.

  • Clear communication. Strong writing and executive-ready updates.

  • Ownership mindset. You take the ball and run with it.

No specific experience required. Backgrounds we love: consulting, banking, finance, SDR/AE, Growth Ops/RevOps, or founder-type campus leaders.

Nice to Have (Optional)

HubSpot or Salesforce, Apollo/ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Google Sheets/Excel, Notion; exposure to legal tech/B2B SaaS/AI; event logistics or field marketing.

How We Work
  • Velocity with judgment: Ship fast, measure, iterate.

  • Client-obsessed: Learn in the field with lawyers, not just in slides.

  • One team: Sales, product, and engineering operate as a unit.

Career Growth

Build a full-stack GTM toolkit—SDR, demand gen, RevOps, field, and strategy. High performers can grow into AE, Growth Lead, RevOps, or PMM roles based on strengths and interests.

Why Join August
  • Founding Impact: Shape not just your role but the company.

  • Uncapped Upside: Competitive base + commission, early equity ownership.

  • Top-tier Team: Work alongside people who move fast, think clearly, and care deeply.

  • Category-Defining Work: Help build the first true AI agents for the legal profession.

  • Fast Growth: Scale your career as we scale the company.

  • Exceptional Early Traction: >4x revenue growth in the past four months.

  • Global Reach: Our clients span 4 continents and use August in multiple languages and jurisdictions

  • Frontier of Applied AI: August has access to proprietary data inaccessible to foundation model providers. We build agents to automate all challenging knowledge work.

  • Strategic investors: Backed by NEA and exceptional seed investors Pear VC and Afore Capital, August has the capital to execute
