$20.00 and $22.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. What you can expect in this role
As a Spectrum News intern, we have a variety of areas that you can spend the semester learning and working alongside our staff in the areas that are of interest to you.
Internship responsibilities may include
- Pitch, research, and develop stories
- Assist with live shows and field production
- Learn professional editing, shooting, and writing
- Work with reporters, producers, editors, and digital teams
- Support daily newsroom operations
- Gain exposure to multiple tracks, including:
- Reporting / MMJ (Multimedia Journalist)
- Editorial & Story Development
- Digital & Audience Engagement
- Production & Control Room Operations
- Writing & Research
Required qualifications
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University completing a bachelor's degree
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship
