Job Summary

The Sporting Events Coordinator is responsible for delivering the Arch Amenities Group experience for members and guests by upholding the highest standards of professionalism, fairness, and customer service.

This role plays a critical part in one of our most popular and high-visibility sports leagues. It includes refereeing to ensure games are conducted safely, competitively, and in alignment with league standards, while contributing to a positive and engaging environment for all participants.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Officiate basketball league games with consistency, professionalism, and integrity
  • Enforce league rules while maintaining game flow and pace
  • Ensure a safe, respectful, and sportsmanlike environment for all participants
  • Manage player interactions and resolve conflicts calmly and effectively
  • Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times
  • Deliver excellent customer service aligned with Arch Amenities Group standards
  • Assist in maintaining the overall quality and reputation of the league experience
  • Reports any incident or accident to the Facility Manager on duty
  • Secures safety of patrons in the event of emergency
  • Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of Emergency Medical Services
  • Teach classes and host sporting events as requested
  • Flexibility to assist in gym operations as requested during hours without sporting events

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Previous refereeing or officiating experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of sports rules, gameplay, and strategy
  • Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to consistently meet schedule requirements
  • Professional demeanor, discretion, and appearance
  • Ability to remain composed and authoritative in a fast-paced environment
