This Sr. Account Executive role is ideally served in the Eastern Time Zone. This is a dynamic position requiring deep insight into how innovative solutions drive financial outcomes and operational efficiency. You’ll be responsible for nurturing a handful of larger institutions to ensure steady revenue streams. This role calls for proactive outreach, tactical execution, and a solid grasp of F5’s evolving Application Delivery & Security platform, including Distributed Cloud Services, NGINX, and AI-driven security solutions. You will cultivate opportunities across the F5 solution portfolio, drawing on your experience with credit union decision-making cycles and regulatory landscapes. You’ll collaborate seamlessly with channel partners.

What Will You Be Responsible For?

  • Sell F5’s full suite of products and services—including modern app security, multicloud networking, and AI-enhanced threat detection.
  • Identify and qualify short- and long-term opportunities, prioritizing growth initiatives and compliance-driven digital transformations.
  • Lead compelling proposals and presentations customized for stakeholders, navigating intricate regulatory and procurement processes.
  • Build and sustain strategic partner ecosystems.
  • Maintain precise sales forecasting and pipeline management via CRM tools like Salesforce.
  • Partner with internal teams including Sales Engineering colleagues to craft innovative, compliant, and scalable strategies for financial services clients, leveraging F5’s Distributed Cloud

How do you qualify? 

  • 5-10 years of direct experience in strategic account management, with a proven track record in financial services sales-growth Including on perm, cloud, and SaaS solutions.
  • BA/BS degree preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial services procurement, contract structures, and compliance requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with networking and cybersecurity products, preferably including F5’s portfolio (BIG-IP, NGINX, Distributed Cloud, Calypso AI / Red Team Guardrails etc.).
  • Exceptional negotiation and closing prowess, honed in highly regulated financial environments.
  • Advanced relationship-building and client-centric mindset.
  • Demonstrated success in selling complex solutions within a collaborative, matrixed organization.
  • Willingness to travel at least 50% and operate from a home office.

The annual base pay for this position is: $109,200.00 - $163,800.00

F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
