The Ads Sales Team delivers best-in-class advertising solutions for leading brands. We help marketers connect with Gen Z, students, teachers, and young professionals through creative programs, actionable insights, and excellent customer service. Our work fuels Quizlet’s mission by keeping learning accessible and free for millions around the world.
About the Role:
We’re looking for a seasoned Senior Account Executive to drive Quizlet’s advertising revenue and growth. You’ll identify ideal customers and strategies to generate direct and programmatic revenue while owning all phases of the sales cycle - from prospecting and client meetings to value proposition development, deal structuring, negotiation, and closing.
You’ll leverage your existing client and agency relationships to build partnerships that connect brands with Quizlet’s highly engaged Gen Z audience.
We’re happy to share that this is an onsite position in our New York or San Francisco office. To help foster team collaboration, we require that employees be in the office at a minimum of three days a week: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday and as needed by your manager or the company. We believe that this working environment facilitates increased work efficiency, team partnership, and supports growth as an employee and organization.
In this role, you will:
- Introduce a brand and platform beloved by GenZ to brand marketing decision makers, creating interest and excitement in powering the success of millions of young people
- Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities across direct and programmatic channels
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and partners, understanding their needs and offering solutions that align with Quizlet’s offerings
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to create compelling proposals and presentations that showcase the value of Quizlet to prospective clients
- Represent Quizlet at key industry events and networking opportunities to build visibility and drive demand
- Stay ahead of market trends, audience insights, and competitive activity to shape innovative sales strategies
What you bring to the table:
- 8+ years of experience in digital media sales, with a proven record of exceeding revenue goals
- Strong relationships with media agency and brand-direct marketing executives, ideally across CPG, Retail, Tech, and Telco verticals
- Experience conceiving and negotiating creative multi-million dollar partnership programs
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and consultative selling skills
- A collaborative, proactive approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
- Self-starter mindset with strong business acumen, creative problem-solving skills, and relentless drive to win.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events
Compensation, Benefits & Perks:

Total compensation for this role is market competitive, including a starting base salary of $130,000 - $165,000, depending on location and experience, as well as company stock options
