Sr Advanced Hardware Engineer

As a Senior Advanced Test Hardware Engineer, you will be responsible for the architecture, design, development, integration, and qualification of electronic test hardware supporting new product introduction, verification, production, and repair operations. You will develop innovative test solutions for Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs), Printed Board Assemblies (PBAs), subassemblies, and Line Replaceable Units (LRUs).

In this role, you will collaborate closely with Systems, Hardware, Software, Manufacturing, Quality, and Test Engineering teams to ensure robust, cost-effective, and scalable test solutions throughout the product lifecycle.

You will report directly to our Senior Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, Arizona location on a hybrid work schedule. Note: For the first 90 days, New Hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite M-F.
 

• Design and develop test hardware for engineering development, qualification and production environments.
• Develop schematic designs and support PCB layout activities.
• Define test architectures for digital, analog, power, FPGA, and mixed-signal products.
• Support board bring-up, verification, validation, and troubleshooting activities.
• Drive Design for Testability (DFT) requirements into product development.
• Support Automated Test Equipment (ATE) integration and deployment.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and repair organizations to improve fault isolation and test coverage.
• Participate in technical reviews, root-cause investigations, and corrective action activities.
• Lead test hardware efforts across multiple concurrent development programs.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.

YOU MUST HAVE

• Extensive experience in advanced hardware design and development for aerospace or related industries
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
• Strong knowledge of schematic capture, PCB layout, and hardware validation techniques
• Proficiency with hardware simulation and analysis tools to optimize design performance
• Experience with aerospace industry standards and compliance requirements
• Ability to lead complex hardware projects from concept through production
• Experience designing electronic circuits and developing hardware verification solutions
