The Senior Analyst, eCategory Management role will be part of the broader Walmart eCategory team, responsible for leveraging data and insights to deliver eCommerce category strategy that will enable both category and KHC financial growth goals with Walmart. This role will act as the trusted Digital expert for WMT site merch and merchant team, influencing digital shelf fundamentals, search, and online merchandising to drive holistic category strategy across digital touchpoints.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Act as the Digital Category Expert and trusted Advisor partner to WMT site merch and merchant teams to support strategic business and site planning, enabling eCommerce goals of topline sales growth, online penetration, and category share targets for top categories

  • Provide objective, comprehensive, consumer-based insights and actionable recommendations utilizing tools such as retailer data, internal/syndicated data sources, digital search and site analytics tools, and shopper insights. Examples include Luminate, Digital Landscapes, Madrid, Circana IRI eMarket Insights, Numerator, Flywheel toolset, and instore execution opportunities

  • Assist with delivering site merch strategy and building executional elements such as eShelving and taxonomy, holistic search opportunities, visual nav, substitutions, merchandising and tentpole hubs (e.g. back to school), and macro site planning

  • Analyze multiple sets of data (POS, panel, shopper behavior, etc.) and validate data accuracy as needed; Complete eCategory WMT reporting and share out with internal category advisor team and external merchant teams

  • Collaborate horizontally and vertically with both internal and external stakeholders across multiple functions (merchants, site merchandising, etc.) to align and successfully execute digital category initiatives

  • Identify white space digital opportunities to proactively uncover potential growth areas for both the category, with advanced storytelling skills and by leveraging tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, and Excel

Expected Experience & Required Skills

  • Passion for high performance and digital success

  • Strong CPG experience in Sales, Category Leadership, Insights, or eCommerce

  • Highly analytical - ability to leverage data sources such as retailer data, internal/syndicated data sources, digital search and site analytics tools, and shopper insights (e.g., Scintilla, Digital Landscapes, Madrid, Circana IRI eMarket Insights, Numerator)

  • Strong storytelling ability through strategic use of visual tools such as PowerPoint and Mekko and a customer mindset presentation style

  • Strong problem-solving skills as well as intellectual curiosity, with a proven ability to work on multiple assignments and prioritize

  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity with a self-starter, proactive mindset, working to continuously create and help define the future of digital category management

  • Strong collaboration skills, ability to influence and drive change management

New Hire Base Salary Range:

$89,800.00 - $112,200.00

Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.

The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors
