Sr. Associate, Project Manager, Luxury Travel - Implementation Specialist
As a Senior Associate Project Manager at Capital One, you can achieve results you never thought possible by leading critical and strategic business projects. As an Implementation Specialist, you will be the primary point of contact for hotel partners during the onboarding process. Your role is to ensure a seamless and efficient integration of new hotel contracts, acting as a connectivity champion while maintaining a high standard of quality for each property's presence on the Capital One Travel platform. You will serve as the distribution systems and connectivity expert and will communicate directly with hotel partners to collect the necessary information for mapping, activation, and optimization.

General Responsibilities:
As a Senior Associate Project Manager you will:
  • Work on medium to large-scale complex, cross-departmental projects that have a direct impact on the company
  • Drive cross-functional projects based on defined priorities; ensure scope of deliverables, timelines and budget are met; identify risks and issues and mitigate and / or escalate as needed; manage complex up and downstream project impacts.
  • Plan, design, manage and execute project plans to ensure delivery. This activity includes management through feasibility, design, planning and implementation.
  • Leverage problem solving skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent and maintain key project documentation
  • Conduct regular meetings with the project team. Document progress and report to stakeholders on project status.
  • Partner with project customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project delivery
  • Forge relationships with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments
  • Identify ways to improve and streamline business process

The person will:
  • Exhibit a proven track record of project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage the work
  • Demonstrate outstanding communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders across all levels to manage, inform, and influence outcomes
  • Demonstrate organizational agility to adapt to changing demands
  • Display strong consulting and collaboration skills
  • Have a deep understanding of onboarding processes and their impact on property performance
  • Have strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret channel and performance data
  • Have experience achieving results with complex projects

In this role, the person will:
  • Guide and support hotel partners through different connectivity systems for rate loading and onboarding from start to finish.
  • Drive measurable results by optimizing onboarding speed and quality.
  • Act as primary owner for Synxis, Dhisco, DerbySoft, and distribution-related tools for the Luxury Travel team
  • Manage rate loading, availability, restrictions, and inventory controls across all systems
  • Ensure hotels are in compliance with Capital One luxury travel program requirements where applicable
  • Lead rate parity control and channel integrity across all channels
  • Identify root causes of discrepancies and implement immediate corrective actions with internal teams and partners while establishing processes to mitigate future discrepancies
  • Evaluate, onboard, and optimize new partners and connectivity opportunities
  • Oversee content, merchandising, and channel readiness
  • Ensure room types, packages, add-ons, images, and descriptions are accurate and aligned across channels
  • Proactively troubleshoot challenges or delays, ensuring swift resolution of connectivity, VCC, content, and data-related issues.
  • Coordinate testing, launches, and ongoing optimization of new integrations and features
  • Partner and align with Luxury Travel team on promotions, campaigns, and digital merchandising strategies

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Military experience
  • At least 3 years of Project Management experience
  • At least 1 year of experience in hotel distribution, revenue management, or eCommerce within the hotel or travel industry
  • At least 1 year of experience with Synxis, Dhisco, DerbySoft, or Online Travel Agencies

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters or MBA degree
  • 5+ years of Project Management experience
  • 1+ year of experience supporting multi-property or portfolio environments
  • 1+ year of experience onboarding new hotel partners or managing connectivity integrations
  • 1+ year experience managing rate parity and channel compliance

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Cambridge, MA: $96,500 - $110,100 for Sr. Project Manager
Chicago, IL: $87,700 - $100,100 for Sr. Project Manager
McLean, VA: $96,500 - $110,100 for Sr. Project Manager
New York, NY: $105,300 - $120,100 for Sr. Project Manager
Plano, TX: $87,700 - $100,100 for Sr. Project Manager
Richmond, VA: $87,700 - $100,100 for Sr. Project Manager
San Francisco, CA: $105,300 - $120,100 for Sr. Project Manager
Wilmington, DE: $87,700 - $100,100 for Sr. Project Manager
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
