The opportunity
Unity’s Global Communications team is looking for a Senior Communications Manager, Ads to lead integrated communications for our advertising business. You’ll shape how Unity shows up across the creator, ad tech, and media landscape, building high-impact relationships with key influencers, podcasters, journalists, and other digital voices. This is a high-visibility role for a strategic storyteller who thrives at the intersection of ad-tech innovation and modern, social-first, cross-platform storytelling.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop and execute global communications programs that elevate Unity’s global leadership narrative and Ads product story, with a social and influencer-first approach
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with influential voices across ad tech, gaming, and business, including new and traditional media
  • Craft compelling narratives that simplify complex technical topics for a broad audience.
  • Partner with marketing, product, and executive teams to align messaging across PR, social, and influencer channels
  • Shape and drive thought leadership platforms for key Ads leaders
  • Own proactive outreach across a diverse mix of platforms, prioritizing influencers, new media, and digital creators while maintaining a steady pulse of traditional media visibility where it makes sense.
  • Track, measure, and report on campaign performance to inform strategy and demonstrate impact

What we're looking for

  • 10+ years of experience in communications or media relations, with a heavy emphasis on influencer engagement and digital media within the ad tech or digital advertising space
  • A proven ability to secure impactful coverage and build long-term partnerships with tech reporters, podcasters, and industry thought leaders.
  • Strong understanding of the evolving media, influencer, and digital landscape
  • Exceptional storytelling and writing skills, able to craft engaging and on-brand content for different formats and audiences
  • Strategic thinker with experience leading integrated campaigns where social, influencer, and PR work together to consistently maximize message amplification.
  • Collaborative, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment

You might also have

  • Experience leading or mentoring social and influencer programs to drive cohesive brand storytelling
  • Deep curiosity about the intersection of advertising, gaming, and emerging technology
  • A track record of creative partnership with influencers or creators to amplify brand visibility
  • Experience working for global publicly-traded companies

*Note: This range reflects the anticipated base salary for this position. Beyond base salary, this role may be eligible for equity awards and participation in our company incentive plans (such as annual discretionary bonuses or sales commissions). The final offer amount will depend on several factors, including geographic location and the candidate’s relevant experience, professional background, and skill set.
