We are an AI-first company, and this role requires someone who enthusiastically uses AI tools daily to produce better content, faster.

Reports to: SVP, Marketing

Compensation: $130,000

What you'll doContent strategy and planning
  • Develop and own the content strategy and editorial calendar, aligned with pipeline goals, product launches, campaigns, and SEO/AEO priorities.
  • Define content themes, formats, and distribution strategies that drive awareness, engagement, and conversion.
  • Conduct keyword and topic research to identify high-impact content opportunities.
  • Map content to buyer journey stages and ICPs, covering top, middle, and bottom of funnel.

  • Own production of written content assets: blog posts, eBooks, email copy, landing pages, and sales enablement materials.
  • Serve as the editorial gatekeeper for quality, brand voice, and strategic alignment across all marketing content.
  • Collaborate with the Content Creator, who oversees social media and video, on themes and messaging, as well as content repurposing.
AI-powered content operations
  • Iterate on and own the team’s repeatable AI content workflows, creating playbooks and enablement as needed.
  • Use AI tools as a power user to produce high-quality content at a pace and volume that would be impossible manually.
  • Maintain a quality bar that makes AI-generated content indistinguishable from (or better than) human-only content.
  • Evaluate and adopt new AI tools as they emerge.
SEO, AEO, and organic growth
  • Own organic traffic growth strategy through SEO and AEO best practices.
  • Optimize existing content for improved rankings and conversion.
  • Collaborate with our paid media strategist to align organic and paid content efforts.
  • Monitor and report on organic traffic, keyword rankings, AEO visibility, content performance, and conversions.

  • Write talk tracks, session outlines, and speaker prep materials that keep webinar content focused, on-message, and aligned with campaign and pipeline goals.
  • Own promotional content for webinars: email sequences, landing page copy, social copy, and ad copy that drive registration and attendance.
  • Develop post-webinar content assets, turning sessions into blog posts, gated assets, and other formats that extend pipeline impact beyond the live event.
Cross-functional collaboration
  • Partner with Demand Gen to produce campaign content (emails, landing pages, webinars, gated assets) on brief and on schedule.
  • Work with Customer Marketing to refine and distribute customer stories, case studies, and proof points.
  • Support Product Marketing with content for product launches, feature announcements, and GTM materials.
  • Collaborate with the PR specialist on thought leadership content and media-facing materials.

  • Experience with SEO tools and strategy (keyword research, on-page optimization, content gap analysis).
  • Experience with AEO and how AI search is changing content strategy.
  • Strong collaboration skills. You’ll work closely with a Content Creator and cross-functional partners, and need to influence without direct authority.

About Blackthorn

Blackthorn turns any organization's Salesforce® CRM into event planning software powered by their connected data. We're a growing, distributed team with teammates across the globe, and we build Salesforce-native tools that help teams create events, engage attendees, process payments, and measure success — all without leaving their CRM. Our customers range from tiny nonprofits to global corporations, and our products are known for going live in hours, not weeks. We believe the best enterprise software should feel as intuitive as the apps you use every day.

Why our work matters

Most event management tools force teams to juggle disconnected systems, wrestle with flimsy integrations, and spend more time syncing data than planning events. We're building the alternative: a connected platform inside Salesforce that gives organizations richer analytics to prove event ROI, better attendee experiences through personalization and automation, and the flexibility to fit any workflow. Every feature we ship helps our customers spend less time on logistics and more time on the events themselves.

What the job will bring you

A deep level of satisfaction through ownership of your role. You'll get more autonomy than at other companies (our team has told us). Connection. Our team is tightly knit, assisted through occasional team meetups (as we're remote). Challenge. We're trying to move as quickly as possible. This is not for you if you want to sit back and chill. As Ray Dalio says about life, "Meaningful work and meaningful relationships" provide meaning to life. We aim to bring this.

While we are a remote-first culture, we are currently only able to accept applicants in AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, KY, MD, MI, MN, MO, MT, NC, NH, NJ, NY, OH, PA, SC, SD, TX, VA, WA, and WI
